You didn't even need to link the trope for us to know you were trolling. That opinion would speak for itself.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."The Visit was okay and season one of Wayward Pines was great. So I had high hopes for Glass.

What's a movie without a Director like?
Dan pivots his channel entirely to fortnite. And takes the opportunity to discuss games as a service and Fortnite's monetization tactics.

This video just makes me glad I don't like MM Os or other types of online co-op play.
The Math Don't Lie
Along with a serious discussion on if Detective Pikachu breaks the glass ceiling for Video Game movies. Dan argue that no really, since Pokemon was always built from the ground up as a Multimedia Franchise. Even if this is based on a game, he feels it's disingenuous to call it a "Video Game Movie" when there's 20+ years of media behind it. Even the game it's based of was made with the other medias existing and was influenced by them. The franchise is as much defined by its tv show as it is by its games.

Drip is shutting down in October so Dan will be moving to Patreon. Awkward as he's been critical of the platform but like You Tube it's now the only game in town.
Dan's new video: Minecraft, Sandboxes, and Colonialism
Expects real video, finds it's a still for an upcoming premiere

Why does he torture himself for our amusement?
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy."While YouTube could simply remove child-directed advertising from their behavioral ad model entirely, or use their clearly demonstrated ability to discern under-13 viewers and disable behavioral advertising selectively at the user level, they have instead chosen to structure their system to place the burden and consequences overwhelming on channel operators."

Highlighting how Tuca & Bertie handles the subject of sex in its storytelling with far more competence than Fifty Shades of Grey.

I mean, Tuca and Bertie was made by people who worked on Bojack Horseman while Fifty Shades is Twilight erotica. Of course this would be much more competent.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.I saw his "Lukewarm Defense of 50 Shades" video several times in my recommendations but never got around to watching it… did he actually find nice things to say about it?
He chalks up the reason the film came out as well as it did to its director (Sam Taylor-Johnson) and scriptwriter (Kelly Marcel) making several changes through writing and cinematography, and they actually characterized Anastasia to a notable extent by giving her an arc.
Unfortunately unlike Stephanie Meyer (as Lindsay Ellis kinda noted in her Twilight video), the author was a massive control freak and got into long fights with them on the changes they were working as she wanted a 1:1 adaptation. This is covered in the videos covering the follow-ups, but basically the quality dip from movie 1 to 2 and 3 is staggering in part because of how much the sequels have to follow the text instead of being allowed to deviate where it would fit.

I never gave Tuca & Bertie a chance because it just looked like a Bojack ripoff. It was so poorly marketed I thought it was the Pacific Heat to Bojack's Archer.
After it was cancelled I was very surprised to find out that it's actually good. And I fully blame Netflix on this one.

It is still not a really good movie on account of all the baggage and how much they had to adhere to the books, but it is surprisingly decent. The sequels aren't as lucky.
Despite the title, though, the lukewarm defense itself is not the main appeal of the series of videos. What really interested me is the deep dive into 50 Shades' history, its unique situation as a former Twilight fanfiction that got erased from the internet and its rise to fame.
