She's not the creator of Gravity Falls, she was a storyboard artist/revisionist on Gravity Falls. She was also a director on DuckTales (2017).

The title's a very Nonindicative Name. I was actually expecting something owl-like, a la Legends of the Guardians films.

Might be intentional and what they're going for.
I wasn't sure, so I didn't say that, but yeah.
