THANK YOU! I really wanted to share a link but only found Cartoon Brew links.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. These both look really promising. The Owl House looks like it could be the next Gravity Falls if you ask me. Amphibia looks like a cute cartoon with a nice premise, too.
"Lucian, don’t be afraid, we’ll make it through this."Man, these shows have promising premises. I hope they get more than two seasons.
Amphibia looks like a cute Spiritual Successor to Billy Dilly, but way better.
The Owl House sort of looks like an anime version of Amethyst of Gemworld that we were hoping for.
I hope both of these shows with leading ladies and little buddies get good enough ratings to stay on for a long time.
"We be we baby!"I do have to say this decade has been an interesting ride for Disney animation. I know not a lot of animation appears on Disney Channel, but I do think that a lot of these new shows has saved Disney DX from it's former Replacement Scrappy reputation when it replaced Toon Disney.
You know they should do crossovers between modern era Disney animation and Disney Afternoon shows.
2019 will mark the year, I will return to watching Disney Channel since I haven't watched the channel actively since Disney XD began with Star and Ducktales. Now I can watch this along with The Owl House on the same channel as they are moving Star to Disney Channel. Now if they can finally move the Ducktales reboot then I can be more happy!
Those both sound great. Thanks for the heads up

The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.I admit I still don't understand the decision to move their most popular cartoons to the main Disney Channel now.
Also, the style of Amphibia looks way too much like Big City Greens for my liking.
It looks more Gravity Fall-ish to me though
Or we could make the case that it looks like a ton of current cartoons right now.
If I had to guess, apparently, Disney XD is something you have to buy separately in most satellite packages (it came with my family's, I think).
It looks like that maybe there wasn't enough of an incentive to grab Disney XD even with new shows like Duck Tales (and it doesn't help Star Vs. has relatively recently ended Season 3, and the bulk of Disney XD's output is reruns), and since Disney Channel seemed to have very little programming variety at the time, they simply decided to move shows over to it. It doesn't seem like anybody knows what to do with Disney XD anyway, though, since as I mentioned, it seems to be mostly used for reruns of many of their shows these days, like its their version of CN's "Boomerang" channel.

Disney Channel has ordered two original animated series – “Amphibia,” from Annie Award-winning director Matt Braly (Disney’s “Gravity Falls”), and “The Owl House,” from Dana Terrace, one of Variety’s “10 Animators to Watch,” whose credits include Disney’s “Duck Tales” and “Gravity Falls.” Both series, slated to premiere in 2019, are produced by award-winning Disney Television Animation (TVA). The announcement was made today by Eric Coleman, senior vice president, Original Programming and general manager, Disney Television Animation.
Coleman said, “‘Amphibia’ and ‘The Owl House’ are both set in wildly imaginative worlds and share hallmarks of great Disney storytelling, including fantastical elements and memorable characters. Matt and Dana each bring a unique sensibility to their shows unlike anything else on TV right now.”
“Amphibia” is a comedy series that chronicles the adventures of 13-year-old, self-centered Anne Boonchuy who is magically transported to the fictitious world of Amphibia, a rural marshland full of frog-people. With the help of an excitable young frog named Sprig, Anne will transform into a hero and discover the first true friendship of her life. Braly serves as executive producer.
