I saw some good FF 6 ones a while back, like this one
about an Imperial soldier, this one about Shadow surviving post-game and Terra trying to heal him, this one a week post-game that's similar to the previous one but goes into much more detail about the cast dealing with a world without magic, and this one about Relm and Interceptor exploring the world post-game.

I am drafting a story about Final Fantasy where Sephiroth didn't go completely crazy and I'm looking for some ideas/suggestions:
- Sephiroth doesn't destroy Nibelheim and goes after Shinra
- Zack and Cloud aren't thrown into test tubes for (4) years
- The original plan when they were fugitives was to go to Midgar and become mercenaries, abandoning Zack's previous occupation
In VII he said he couldn't crash at Aerith's, but in Crisis Core it's elaborated that he's being hunted and that the Turks were already seeking him out.
I'm trying to think what would have become of him and Cloud in a world where Sephiroth went rogue and didn't destroy Nibelheim - Zack stayed with SOLDIER in spite of Lazard's treachery, but would he be disillusioned enough to quit? Would Cloud stick around because of him?

Writing a Project × Zone-inspired fic, using stuff from Konami, Nintendo and Square Enix.
Looking at using Versus XIII as a backdrop to represent FF stuff. Not sure what other FF properties can blend in with Versus. Candidates includes FF 8 and Type Zero.
Found this pastebin with what was suppose to be Versus XIII's true story. Although I've been told that parts of this may not be true since they were likely from early ideas that got dumped and were not picked up before VXIII turned to XV.

What if all of the items that you can find in Final Fantasy VII were actually a part of the setting? People are actually capable of reviving the dead with Phoenix Downs, potions can restore gunshot wounds, ethers let you continue to use spells, item shop owners with summon materia are actually well-aware of Shiva and Ifrit, and the 1/18th soldier does... what exactly? Might not be as funny with 8 and 10 since Guardian Forces and Aeons feature in the plot.
For additional shenanigans, replace "Final Fantasy 7" and use any particular game in the series. What if all of the gameplay mechanic-based items actually functioned in the story? Can you keep the plot on track if they did?
