I'm surprised there isn't a thread already.

Older than old. Smosh is a sketch comedy show that started in Youtube's early days. Maybe the grandfather of Youtube content even. I always used to see their videos but I mainly watched the "If _ Were Real" videos because they almost always had those clickbait thumbnails with naked women on them were an interesting comedic pair.

I kind of forgot it existed until the movie came out and then... this came up in my feed...

Bet you saw that thumbnail and thought this was another violent breakup of Youtube partners or something. That or you were wondering why somebody was making a thread for an artifact webshow.

So, a very big transition period.

Anthony Padilla's doing his own thing now, completely on his own, and he and Ian are still best friends. So, all's well that end's well I suppose. This is one of the few happy Youtuber-related events I've heard about in the past 2 years. I mean, bittersweet, but civil at least.

My big question is how their content has changed since the beginning. I watched a very small number of their videos and there's... kind of a lot of them... so I don't really want to spend hours on it, but was wondering if anyone who had been watching them since the beginning had any comment on how the format has changed.

So Smosh released a new video today about Anthony joining Jared Letto's cult. I love Ian playing as Jared Letto and the video making fun of Jared Letto and his cult. Here's the video:

For a while there, I thought he genuinely joined the cult, but then I realized it was a joke.
