Well, Contra has a history of helping people see reason. I can't believe this will work to convince people but I'm also jaded and am substantially less capable at argumentation than she is.
So, here's hoping it does do some good and reaches people beyond the Leftist circle.
New vid!
According to what she said on twitter, It's a spiritual successor to her old "punching natsees"[sic] video and a bit of a companion piece to "decrypting the altright"
I'll quote here a part of her comment on it, because I feel it's worth mentioning:

1 2 We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be. -KVJust FYI, it's against forum rules to just drop a link without much of a description.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? It's essentially a comical dialogue between an antifa member and another leftist. They also wrote a comment better explaining the video:
The character Tabby represents a lot of what I think is wrong about leftist strategy: the indifference to optics, the undisguised hostility to the ideologically impure, the sectarian nitpicking, the alternation between extreme optimism (“a communist revolution can happen in the United States and it will go well if it does”) and extreme pessimism (“neoliberal propaganda has so tight a grip on the general public that why should we even bother trying to appeal to them?”), the blurring of lines between recognizing the necessity of violence in certain situations and the aesthetic celebration of violence as an end in itself. Nevertheless I try to represent Tabby with some sympathy, and anticipate that my viewers will like her—my audience is at least 95% trans Antifa cat girls, but I hope that doesn’t prevent them from thinking about the critique.
The character Justine is a mouthpiece for a lot of my complaints about the left, and the recipient of some leftist criticisms of me (“you go to brunch with these people?”), but I chose not to represent her as an attractive alternative. She’s complacent, frivolous, and ineffective, full of derision for the way other leftists do things but not contributing much for her own part either. When a fascist comes knocking on the door it’s better to have Tabby there than Justine. To see if Justine can put her money where her mouth is we’d have to see what speech she delivers following the fascist speech. This You Tube channel is effectively my attempt to make that speech, and I can’t be the one who judges how successful it is.
By the way the marxist book cover jokes had me laughing so hard

I've always appreciated Contra's ability to understand the heart of the matter. The fact is, quoting Marx won't win you any followers or support. The only thing that will work is propaganda that you don't call propaganda because only Goebbels did that and he was a Nazi. Emotional arguments will always be what gets the people moving. You just have to ensure it's the right emotions that are being tugged on and directed towards a positive end.
It's true, the idea that "facts will speak for themselves" just isn't true in practice because people don't care about what is true, only what feels true. That's why how persuasive you are is more important than actually being right in terms of getting voted into office and garnering support (of course that being said policy should always have a basis in reality).
So, Contra just streamed a couple commentaries on her old videos in her side-channel for streams (I'll link to the original videos too if anyone wants them, but it's better to just watch the commentary since Contra reproduces the video she's commenting on at the time):
First is a commentary on her old video "For Whom the Belle Trolls" which was a video about everybody's favorite Ernst Röhm 2.0: Milo Yiannoafgarwgfcthulhurlyehpoulos, trying to make it clear that Milo's "trolling" is actually fucking harrassment.
Second commentary is on what she calls her worst video, "How I Became a Feminist SJW", which was kind of an autobiographical video about, well, Exactly What It Says on the Tin.
Finally, a retrospective on "Why I Quit Academia", another autobiographical video, this time talking about her life in academia and doing some criticism off it.
Huh, that's interesting to see. Granted I don't think I ever watched the originals. I think my introduction to her, was the multiculturism episode.

Hm, interesting points. Also is it bad that I have the exact same hat as the chick in the title pic for the Debating the Alt Right vid? Bought it because it was similar to a Commissar cap from Warhammer 40k and similar to one Liv Jagrell wore during Sister Sin shows.
If anyone wants to know, Contra was going to put up a new video today, but she didn't because she's overworked from making it. It'll be up tomorrow.
1 2 We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be. -KVFeaturing The Golden One.
She was kinda gushing about his comedy skills in her commentary video, so I guess it is not surprising she decided to do this now.
When she played Anaconda I lost it
EDIT: LOL that parody of My Favorite Things

LMAO
He might be the most affable fascist I've ever seen. It's too bad that he's, you know, a dangerous nazi and all that.
Oh my god, he is perfect.
And, hell, he isn't even saying anything wrong there. I mean, not sure what "sap the life joy from young man" means, but the porn industry is indeed awful and deserve to be criticized. If only he would focus on this kind of stuff and drop down all the nazi bullshit.

Well other than saying "no homo" to disavow the fact he is hitting on a woman. But yeah it's so weird. You would be ok if you also didn't have awful beliefs sort of thing.
No one else has yet linked to this Nymag -article.
I wanted to, but...it's unfortunately been causing a plethora of controversy.
Long story short, the person who interviewed Contra for the article is one Jesse Singal, who...let's just say he has a history of being a TERF. Controversy started flying around yesterday and Contra responded to it on her Twitter, which only helped to make it even worse now. There's a huge divide going on about whether or not Contra is being too naive or too selfish.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Yeah. I agree with most of Contra's points on her Twitter responses (Although after doing some research I think she's wrong in believing that Signal is not a TERF, he is), but I can see why this raised so much controversy, as she could be said to have taken some of the steps "redpilled ex-SJWs" (like Laci Green) took on their way to the alt-right, but ultimately I think Contra is right in that we might need to engage with and get close to shitty people (or let them get close to us) if we want to have any shot at stopping this renaissance of fascism in the western world.
1 2 We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be. -KVI would agree if it didn't feel like crossing a bit of a line here. I was willing to forgive the brunch stuff with Armoured Skeptic and Shoe, but in this case I'm a bit worried it's crossing a bit too much. I'm still willing to give a little bit of benefit here but I already know a lot of people are tearing themselves apart over this.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
