I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD EVER SEE ANOTHER FAN
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdThis reminds me of something else. One day, I was in the lunch line mumbling to myself about Creature Feature. The girl in front of me overheard me and asked what I was talking about. When I replied "Creature Feature", she gasped and said "YOU KNOW CREATURE FEATURE?! As in the band?!" I made a new friend that day in a place I never thought I would.
Why don't I get this conversation started up in a more interesting way by asking this: What was the first song you heard from them? Mine was "The Greatest Show Unearthed", and that was because of the Nostalgia Critic.
The first I heard was "Such Horrible Things", because my friend from Germany has a character named Jack, who is basically based off of that song. She got me so into them!
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdHave a favorite song in particular? If I had to choose one, it would be "A Gorey Demise".
I really like that one, but I'd say my favorite is either Fodder For The Elder Gods or ... The Greatest Show Unearthed!
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdOh, my God. WHY DIDN'T I SAY ONE OF THOSE, DAMMIT!!!!
Were there any songs that creeped you out at all? For me, "Mommy's Little Monsters" made me shudder when I first heard that music box tune. Which is why you don't listen to music late at night, children! I'm fine with it now though. Wanna make me shudder now? Play "Bound and Gagged". Good God, "Bound and Gagged"...
Don't get me wrong, I love the song, but Jesus, that performance of "I'm keeping her bound and gagged/Her clothes soaked in gasoline/Hands tied behind her back/Where no one can hear her... scream..." *shudder*
I'm usually not one that's easily creeped out, but I'd definitely have to agree with you on the whole Bound And Gagged thing!
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdCool! Someone agrees with me!
Y'know, they actually have a comic series based off of them! Here!
You might want to skip to actually buying them if you want to enjoy them for yourself. I didn't want to pothole things under a spoiler tag, so I resorted to unmarked spoilers. Sorry!
Whaaaat. There's a comic book???
I can't actually buy them since I'm probably not allowed by my parents
But I'll be able to buy them soon enough!
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdCool! Hope you like them! My friend and I certainly did! The band gets paid part of the money, too!
Have you listened to American Gothic? What's your favorite song on it?
I actually have not listened to that album yet... ^^;
I mostly just skip around when I can, when nobody's home.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdOh. Well, I'm sure you'll find at least one thing on there you'll like!
Could we use this space to appreciate those two wonderful weirdos?
(Read this in the way a stereotypical narrator from a nature documentary would say this for the full effect.)
Here we get to see a very elusive sight: Curtis Rx smiling in front of a camera. The average fangirl has this reaction to such a rare sight: Squee
This is another rare sight: Erik X smiling for a camera. This sight is so rare, you're more likely to find the picture above. Once again, the average fangirl would say the following: Squee
I always thought Curtis was adorable
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdThey're both adorable! From what I've heard, they have their own little tics to them. For example, their both grabby, but in different ways. Curtis will not pass up an opportunity to hug you, which is whenever he feels like it, and Erik will grab you by the arm and drag you around to show you something he finds interesting. It really makes me wish I could meet them, but I probably won't, knowing me.
I would never meet them either...
But both of those things are incredibly adorable!
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdOh God yes! Agree so much!
We're just going nuts right now, aren't we? Let's keep going then!
I know there's only so many times I can gush about these people before we start treading the same ground, so how about we talk songs for a bit? I know we've already covered the Nightmare Fuel for them, so...
I really like trying to decipher what everyone's saying at the beginning of "A Gorey Demise". I get an odd sense of gratification when I can figure another string out. Anything weird like that with you?
I like to imagine the scene, what it's like in the beginning of AGD. What's the setting, what does the band look like, and what do the random chatterers look like? I think it would be so cool to have the imagery.
Are there really no other Creature Feature fans here? I'm pretty surprised.

ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdHmm... I always thought some of the speakers looked like Gollum for some reason. I think it was just the voices. If you listen, you hear one of them say "You're all liars! You say there was cotton candy!" and another says "Who made the jelly spiders?". Those were the ones that I imagined looked like Gollum.
I was going to say that! Come on, fiends! I'm lonely amongst the humans. They call me weird...
The cotton candy thing,,, hahaha
I think maybe it's the fact that most people like staying in the Forum Games or Yack Fest?
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdPossibly.
This is what happens when I try not to gush about people I like. I start linking to things that relate to them. And I stop making sense. I'm grinning like an idiot watching this. Send help.
THEY ARE SO CUUUUTE
I just want to see them live.
Though they make dark music, I don't think they could be any cuter.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdThey're just... Oh my God! I have no idea how many times I've Squee'd while watching concert videos, simply because they're the closest I can get to an actual concert. I've even made plans with my friends to try and get to at least one concert.
Another concert video that makes me just wanna hug them here.
Y'know, I still make jokes about the lyric "A is for Amber who drowned in a pool." with one of my friends. She has no idea whether to be flattered or freaked out.
I meant to reply earlier! I must have forgot you made a new post...
But yes I need to see them and I want to hug them and shower them with affection.

Could we take a moment to just appreciate an interesting California-based band known as Creature Feature? Whether you like the band, the comic series based around them, or just want to talk about your favorite song from them, feel free to let loose! I, for one, remember that opening up their C Ds in the mail felt like opening up those Christmas presents you've been waiting all year for. Anyone have something they'd like to say? Go ahead, Tropers!
