I'm working on another fic, though it involves very recent events.

A criminal investigator peers into one of the most mysterious murders of Homeworld's past. Except, well, they're not qualified to be a criminal investigator. In fact, if it weren't for the diamonds 'suggesting' she look into the case, she'd likely be setting her ship's course for the far side of the furthest galaxy from- Well, you get the picture.

Featuring Rubies, internal Homeworld politics, and loads n loads of characters.

Think it'll be fun.

Looking through the AO3 section is a challenge. Finding stories about Steven himself is impossible.

Does anyone know if there are any fanfics about Rose being Steven? I remember prior to the last episode I thought it'd be a fun idea if "Steven" was an amnesiac Rose or if he was Rose pretending to be a boy. It's a silly idea but I think it'd make a fun AU at best. Watching the last few episodes made me think for a second that they were going to canonize it as a twist.

Does anyone have any good Doctor Who crossovers they’d recommend?

So, this is an idea I suddenly had as a result of the Steven Universe future promos about Homeworld Gems trying to acclimate to Earth and some ponderings about Spinel's design roots in early animation, but I have no idea if this would actually work as a written story:

It would open up with Peridot going about a job where she has to help guide a Homeworld Gem around Beach City, introduce her to humans and normal stuff, but very quickly slides into escalatingly goofy Willy Wonk-esque morality play style zaniniess as other Homeworld Gems suffer comically gruesome fates for stuff like attacking humans, trying to activate Kindergarten injectors, shattering Off-Colors, stuff like that. By the end of it Peridot is a full on zany World War 2-era Bugs Bunny-style wacky trickster who just makes herself an incredibly bad Yellow Diamond costume to trick a bunch of Homeworld hardliners into surrendering, and then when the real YD shows up Peridot smashes her on the head with a sledgehammer or something... and the end of the story is a zoom out from a screen, revealing that the whole thing was a "Moving Meep-Morp" that Peridot and Lapis cooked up together to try and aid the assimilation effort, but just turned out the Gem equivalent of a racist war propaganda cartoon. They both insist it's genius while the screening audience (Steven, Garnet, etc.) is uncertain about the whole thing.

If that sounds horrible, it probably is, but in my head its looks a lot better as a zany meta-commentary about the early purposes of animation. Any... any thoughts?

Thinking of a fanfic where the Crystal Gems end up in another fictional world that's a LOT more historically and geographically accurate to real life. How do you think they would handle it?

There are a billion "characters go to the past and fix everything" fics in this fandom, but does anyone know any good fics of the opposite? Characters from the past coming to the present, and not just for shipping purposes?

A while ago I ran into a fic of Pink Diamond from the time of the Rebellion being transported to the present of Steven Universe Future, and it was... okay. Not great, not terrible. I was wondering if anyone had run into something with a similar sort of premise.

Very well, then we have this ending of Future in which all the plots are closed and what while Steven solves the problems that are giving him life by taking a walk through the country, but outside of it everyone is happy, satisfied and content... What's up with Jasper? She didn't really change, in fact, after Steven killed her and revived her, her ideals were probably even reinforced. The last time we saw her she wanted to leave with Steven so she could fulfill her "role" as protector of his diamond. So I'd like to read a single chapter about Jasper getting that juicy character development that he really deserves and is missing. If anyone knows a Fic like this, perfect, if not and you like Steven Universe and writing... I hope this helped give you an idea. (Sorry if this reads strange, I don't speak English and used a translator to write this).
