I recently started doing murder mysteries with one of the local Pittsburgh groups. It's fun, scripted enough that you don't feel like you're hanging in the wind, but there's substantial improv involved, in intentional audience interaction, in dealing with audience trying to insert themselves into the action, and dealing with situations where lines get dropped since, without certain clues, the mystery becomes unsolvable.

The big catch, though, is that far too many of these mysteries are closer to a Clueless Mystery than a Fair-Play Whodunnit. The Pajama Party Murders is good, but Elf'd has the murderer practically come out of nowhere for example.
So, does anyone else participate in murder mysteries? Any favorites?
