I had the idea of a High Fantasy RP that borrows elements from Maid RPG and Dokapon Kingdom: all the players would play as adventurers/heroes who help to save the kingdom from various disasters: thieves, monster attacks, demon uprising, deliveries, ect. The catch is that all the adventurers are fighting for the favor of the Prince and Princess who co-rule the Kingdom, the game sort of 'ends' when the Prince or Princess marries an adventurer and they become King or Queen. All matter of tactics are encouraged: from seduction to theft, murder to alliances, pranking to bribery, and so on with various events and encounters.

I'm thinking of starting up a Super Robot Wars RP because I already got a story in mind.

I'm also looking for someone to Co-GM with me.

Well, what's the story? Could you provide more information on this roleplay?

The story is going to involve time and Space. All the pilots involved and their mech get pulled into a pocket world of sorts featuring elements of their own respective worlds. In short, you get pulled in, fight odd looking Clock Punk Mecha-Mooks and figure out who the hell you are and why you are there.

I am unsure if I am going to do the idea that all the Pilots are "echoes" of the pilot they were based on. Or allow people to make their own pilot with a mech from a series or original mechs.

But I do hope to keep the thread from just going too fast because the last Super Robot Wars RP thread I was on basically went by like lightning.

Hmm... The "echoes" bit reminded me of this idea I had, where a dimensional villain made copies of heroes & villains from other worlds so he could have his own versions prancing about his own universe. It also reminds me of a project where a separate dimensional villain pulled in heroes from other realities in order to kill them in his domain and then invade their defenseless home universe.

So perhaps the player characters are indeed echoes/copies made so their strength can be gauged in a controlled environment, regardless of an OC/Canon perspective. It would also serve as an excuse for out-of-character "Canon" pilots, with them being flawed copies or whatever strange being that made them not understanding the pilot properly. Speaking of, are original characters allowed?

Ooh, just a random suggestion, but do you think you could work in Grim Reaper motifs as well for the enemies? Clockwork Grim Reaper has just been a cool thing I've thought about lately.

I may add in a clockwork Grim Reaper yes.

But OCs should be in there.

Well, what's the general power level? If you're just going to accept any kind of mech, how would things end up being balanced? Would this pocket world's ruler be our Final Boss?

The pocket Worlds ruler would be the final boss yes. And as for power, standard SRW power rules as well. Everything can kill everything. A Zaku can take down a Gunman and generally the harder to kill are bosses.

I have an idea for a crossover RP called Tri Age Catastrophe, wherein Anime, Manga, Video Game and Other characters find themselves in a medieval world with a number of Kingdoms. And the thing is, the villains have joined up with a fellow named Aracade Judas who leads the Ars Ragna Purification Committee, which is devoted to the "obliteration of conflict", which they go about by extolling The Evils of Free Will, though obviously the villains themselves cannot be subject to the same standard.

Feel free to have Nasuverse and other such characters show up, and feel free to worldbuild a kingdom too. The setting is very fluid.

And after the influx of mediocre lists and erratas, I don't think my original Yugioh rp idea will work out. Mostly all that'll change is the card pool. It'll still ban specific decks to make it non-meta to a degree, but eh.

Only thing I'm unsure of is whether some balancing erratas should be made to bring decks up to "playable" instead.

I got a new idea for an RP.

Essentially, I looked over a lot of anime, and I decided to see what I could do about an RP. Essentially, it is set in Tokyo, in a seemingly incredibly idealized version of Japan - the gangsters are quirky and given what the protagonists are capable of, mostly helpless. Transfer Students out the wazoo, students have hair colors and eye colors that don't exist in normal earth, let alone in Japan. The protagonists, a lot of young people, and even some of the older people have certain powers, and oddly enough, nobody seems to care that these people have powers. In fact, some among our protagonists may well be the only ones to find any of this "weird".

Society is formed along Japanese cultural lines similar to what one might find in an anime, but there are traditions here that are rather unusual - Ho Yay / Les Yay is expected, and while romantic ties between members of the opposite sex is normal the amount of closeness normal in certain anime is also viewed as normal. Discomfort with this stereotypical and odd premise in-universe is viewed as "abnormality".

Also, rather more mysteriously, despite the day and afternoon being full of adventure, and in fact these kinds of adventure being encouraged, there is a very strict curfew. All parents are willing to say is that "it is unsafe to be out past dark. Certain things come out during those times."

Needless to say, there are lots of mysteries in the sheer oddity of this society, and I'd love to roleplay out a sort of Persona 4 style investigation into why certain things happen.

Your characters would be a part of the Mystery Solvers' Club, and you would have your choice of 1 or 2 Powers, and some required secondary powers interpreted in certain ways.

So, I had this idea for an RP where the player characters are all toys. This is a crossover RP, so players can play toy versions of their favorite characters or create their own characters as well. Think of it like Toy Story.

I actually am planning to start an RP revolving about battle, kind of like the Forum Game's Arena, although with emphasis on the continuity and plot.

Well, anyone interested enough to join in?

So Gravity Falls, X-Files, Twin Peaks, and a bunch of other stuff have made me want to do a paranormal investigation RP. If I get it up would anyone be interested?

I would be interested.

I'm also looking into doing a Ghostbusters long-form RP. What do I mean by long-form? Well, it'd only be four to six players. The RP would start after the second movie, with the player characters being new hires on the company. I want this to take place over decades, to chronicle the development of these characters, the Ghostbusters as a company, other paranormal companies showing up, the government getting involved, characters being fired, quitting, dying, getting married, leaving to do their own thing...

So that's why I would need four to six dedicated players. The signup wouldn't be on a first come basis but rather on a 'the best sheets get the spot' basis.

My roleplay New Genesis Fame is probably definitely dead (Starline City was just so entertaining), so I want to get opinions on a replacement roleplay. Thus I'll write up a short list briefly explaining the concept for a couple projects.

  • Awakening of Magic, set in a fantasy world where magic comes from crystals. The central crystal that powers them all was damaged, and since it would take hundreds of years to repair, its guardian selects people from that time to put into enchanted sleep preserved by crystals. The day they finally awake will be the final stages of the crystal's repair, yet the world around them will have vastly changed due to the dwindling magic and the presence of a Dark God those hundred years trying to turn people against the crystals.

  • R.A.L.F (Robotic Artificial Life Forms), set in a magic/science world where advanced machinery has become incredibly commonplace. The players would ideally be a Robotic Lifeform created by humanity, and robot racism would be present. Outside of a slice-of-life kind of thing, an overarching plot hasn't been established yet.

  • Inner Beings (haven't found a better title yet) is set on an Earth where random humans are born as Outers, host to a magical being that will manifest once they feel their Outer truly needs them. Said Inner Beings would be mostly-human personifications of their Outer's own personality, and would also be controlled by the player. Its mostly a "do whatever" kind of roleplay, though there will be notable plotlines like an Inner-catching bounty hunter and an government agency trying to research them (with the possible Final Boss being a monstrous fusion of numerous captured Inners).

  • Sword of Queen's Faith, a darker Magical Girl roleplay inspired by Madoka Magica (though mostly dissimilar to it), would be set on a world lacking an actual masquerade though nonetheless the public generally isn't aware of all this magical nonsense. However, the roleplay would start during the latest Magi Peak, where the twelve Mana Bracelets have all been found by a new owner. Once a Magi Peak rolls around, monsters known as Kachemetc start appearing. However, that's merely half of their troubles, as the governments of the world are fully aware of Magi and will do what they must to suppress & capture them.

  • Mysteria Malignant, a fantasy fighting tournament hosted by the continent's most magical city and by its king. This is part of a much larger series, so there's numerous elements in play such as clearly existent Gods but they're not part of Mysteria's storyline. The reward for the tournament, Mysteria Malignant, is one wish to be fulfilled by its king Lord Taylor. However, there is a lot more going on than the characters will initially think.

  • Finally there's Never Forget (prototypical title due to being a dead concept of a friend's I want to rework), with has the basic premise that you were left for dead and restored by a mad magician/scientist. The world in general would have present magical and advanced elements, though this magi-scientist has been working on creating much more powerful machines & magics. Thus from a series of 18 different types of limbs, your character has been given one-to-two in order to test it out. The magi-scientist will be mission control for your characters, having them complete missions for his research.

Inner Beings and Sword of Queen's Faith sound awesome.

Hmm... I could probably manage both Awakening of Magic and Sword of Queen's Faith alongside my already present Lives Ruled by Hearts. Some more opinions would be nice before I go with anything however, and I'll be willing to answer any questions one might have. Would help me decide what to do.

So I got two ideas. It's going to go by which one is more popular.

  • Idea #1 Paranormal Investigation - You are part of a Ragtag team slapped together by people with a genuine interest in the Paranormal investigating a disturbance in the woods of a New England city. Horror may or may not be there as I am not the best with it but will try my hardest.
  • Idea #2 Ace Custom RP - You are set in a universe loosely based on a webcomic idea I've been working on for the longest time. You pilot a Mini-Mecha I call a Motung and you work for the United Space Colony Federation and are sent in to capture one of the largest colonies ever made ever which is currently under hostage siege by the terrorist Organization Et Manus Populi. Of course things aren't that simple.

Both sound interesting, but a Mecha roleplay would probably be easier for me to partake in. Besides that, decided to make Sword of Queen's Faith, and I'll post Awakening of Magic within a couple of days. It'll be much more complicated to write the manual for, so I'll need more time.

By the way, I'm guessing the lack of interest for Inner Being is because it sounds like a Persona ripoff doesn't it? I swear I didn't even know the series when I made the general concept five years ago. Though not entirely sure why R.A.L.F lacks interest...
