Looking For Players [RPs You're Not Sure Anyone Wants You To Start]

Got an idea to revive the concept of a multinational anti-supernatural agency.

Thing I got is whether it should have one case that all the characters try to solve throughout the story or not.

A godlike alien race brings together fictional characters for a friendly fighting tournament, with the proceeds going to various multiversial charities. Of course, something is going to interrupt the games...

A Massive multiplayer crossover/OC game. The only difference is that you need to draw and post a link to your drawing about what happens instead of writing it.

Drawing skills not nesssary (you can draw stick figures). Sounds interesting?

I'd play that.

I had an idea for a different type of Crossover RP. In some ways it's a Massively Multiplayer Crossover, in other ways it's an OC RP.

The concept is that you create a character who is based off of a character you like, the premise being is that the character you create is from The Mockbuster version of the source material. Public Domain Character and Historical Domain Character types are exempt from this and are fully playable without modification (though if you still want to make a Captain Ersatz expy of these types of characters, you can).

For example, instead of playing Toni Cipriani from Grand Theft Auto Liberty City Stories, I am playing his mockbuster Captain Ersatz counterpart, Tony Cardona from Crime World: New York City Chronicles? Get it?

The overall idea is that these knock-off OC's are in a strange and cheap MMORPG produced by The Asylum.

I've never gm-ed anything before, but I kind of want to make some sort of Smash Bros themed RP.

So does anyone besides me remember that Magical Girl RP from a while back where the girls were thematically based on the Periodic Table? This one, to be specific. It was a pretty cool concept and had some fun moments prior to it's death, and I was musing over RP that could be run in a similar vein, with characters who had basis in some aspect of nature or another.

What I eventually ended up coming up with was expanding the scale of such an RP to an interstellar level and allowing the characters to be personifications of some form of stellar concept. Big one for me was constellations, though I figure other stellar objects like different varieties of stars might work and I may incorporate those as well to a lesser degree. The RP would primarily be based in a space station but allow for exploration of other areas as the plot saw fit, and as a GM I usually allow players a lot of power in determining general direction of events. Say, gets some asteroid mining scheme or the like in mind, we could make it happen. Stuff I'd throw at the players would be anything from Monster of the Week business (being that the genesis of this RP was magical girl thematic, though I will most likely lift the gender restrictions and make 'transforming' strictly optional) to politicking and Slice of Life crap with major arcs designed for Character Development and such thrown in as I see fit.

It was just a thought, I'm still working it out and I may decide I don't have the ability to make it happen either way.

Quite a bit of interest... Still working out how likely it will be that I can keep an RP running with my life how it currently is. We'll see.

Speaking of Magical Girls and crossovers, I did have this idea in my head. Mostly it comes down to an enigmatic dark sorceress attacking different magical girls, with herself seeming to originate from a Madoka universe due to having a Soul Gem. I suppose the general aim for her defeat comes down to showing her what goodness and love was again. Oh, and she has managed to get around the Grief Seed issue with a minion that can purify her Gem. Speaking of, her magical powers mostly come down to Creation and ordering around said creations.

Besides that, I do feel like making a roleplay based around a number of powerful individuals getting loose. It would be kind of magical, though also based on our world. I would say these individuals were kept inside an ancient anti-magic seal, and some scientist ends up screwing things up in the name of research. Thus I would say it would be one part "Hunt Them All" and one part "How Do I Shot Web", as I would say destroying the seal resulted in a shower of magic fragments getting imbedded into people & reacting to their strongest desire or thought to produce a power they don't understand.

Okay, for future reference, just assume I'm interested in anything magical adventure related.

Same here, tough to be honest I would prefer a straight one and not just Madoka.

Well my only other idea for a Magical Girl roleplay would be rather subversive/*insert correct term*, such as a non-existent masquerade, flashy transformations & outfits solely so they'll be noticed, and monsters that often cause major trouble before going down. Oh, and no upgrades, simply discard & draw or adding new Transformation Trinkets whenever they get new powers. That isn't everything, but I don't want to spoil too much if anyone's interested.

Though besides that, I do have an idea for a roleplay where the players are Fragments of a God with their bestial enemies being the Fragments of a different God. I would like to make each side one gender, though making their numbers gender-equal probably works better.

Hmmm well talking of Magical Girls, I think I'll be launching a Fantasy Setting, Magical Girl RP somewhat soon. Will have points for people to spend on obtaining all sort of Magical Abilities and the like and beating enemies may award you more points and the like. Still hammering out the concept.

The last two magical girl RPs I'm in (which were both daltar's) did dry up quickly. I partially blamed the whole Magical Girl vs Dark Magical Girl bit so I recommend we don't have any competing sides in it.
