A 90's Canadian show called 'Ready or Not' (doesn't even have a page here on tvtropes!). It aired on The Disney Channel in the US when I was about 6 or 7 and I re-watched it on You Tube a few years ago. Seriously wish there was some fanfiction for that one!

[up] Lol, I remember that TV show, I watched it when I was really small, and about three years ago I also re-watched lots fo episodes on youtube. And just today I was seriously thinking about starting the page.

EDIT: It's up, with 4 tropes. :-D

Anyway, I don't even like fanfic all that much, with two exceptions: Game of Thrones — I once found a kink meme when I was searching for other memes — and oh my god, some of it was so hot, I couldn't stop reading. Some of it was great for lolz. After some I needed Brain Bleach. Probably normal when reading fics.

Second exception: Horatio Hornblower: Whenever I re-watch the miniseries, I want more of the 'verse. And this fandom is amazing, there are still active fanfic writers after all these years.

But recently I started watching these videos on youtube. It's a character based on a real life Victorian servant. She's a cook at a Big Fancy House and she just cooks Victorian meals in front of camera. And it's awesome.

It doesn't even have that many characters — just the cook, two kitchen maids, the head gardener and a young third gardener who once harvested apples. But oh my gosh, if they are not the sweetest things ever, I don't know who is. People in the comments already have favourite ships. I would so read fanfics of it. waii

I even wrote a page here at TV Trope: The Victorian Way.

Devil May Cry crossovers, there are some but too few for any of them to be good or completed. I mean only when the fandom is popular enough to have thousands of fics will some of them be worth reading.

I've never been into the idea of roleplaying until I read Tailchaser's Song. Sometimes I get the desire to create OCs for it, but there is literally no fandom for it.

Honestly, I'd love to see more fics based on Trillion: God of Destruction. I know the story is fairly self-contained, but there is potential for both pre and post-story ideas to crop up.

I'd love to see Army Men fan fiction, whether based on the old video games from the late 90's or even just the toys themselves. I'm actually contemplating writing a story about anthropomorphic toy army men, and not just the typical green-colored US Army GI's, but also other similar figures such as Cowboys & Indians, Pirates, Ninja Men, Revolutionary War army men, etc.

Hell, I'd even include anime figurines in the story as well for that crossover element.

On another note, I'd love to see more fics for King of the Hill. Earlier in the thread, I noticed someone mentioning autistic headcanons, and yes, I have a few of those myself.

Hank Hill is one of my autistic headcanons, since it's based on a common fan theory that Hank Hill is mildly autistic (which could explain his rigid thinking, uptight behavior, and his fixation on propane and propane accessories)

There are DOOM fanfics already so it's stretching it on wishing it had but I wish it had a bigger scene. The Doom reboot and the lore and Worldbuilding behind it is great and DOOM Eternal is gonna explore the universe more. Here's hoping DOOM Eternal gives more incentive for fanfic writers.

Same goes for crossovers!

OH! Add Wolfenstein as well because there's...so...little...fanfics there. I'd have more chance at an alternate history/reality writing site but I don't want that.

[up]I would love to see more Wolfenstein fics, particularly for Wolfenstein 3D or Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I'm not much of a fan of the newer Wolfenstein games and their attempt at Alternate History.

I had a great idea for a fanfic that is set in the continuity of Wolfenstein 3D set during the Cold War, called Wolfenstein DMZ. It would be set in the 1950's, with the Korean War playing a major role in the plot and BJ Blazkowicz being the commanding officer of the new protagonist.

Expect lots of Dirty Communists, Soviet Superscience, and several Nuclear Nasty opponents.

I always wanted to see a Cold War-themed FPS that has the same pulp approach that Wolfenstein 3D applied to World War II.

[up]Not to derail thread but now I really have to ask this: why not go much farther with that idea and do a fullblown Wolfenstein x Command & Conquer: Red Alert crossover? That would be glorious!

Way Station.

It doesn't even have a fandom, I think.

I mean, no one I know even knows it. It's a shame.

Disney Fairies has a lot of fanfics, but not of the characters I want to see. The fics focus on the films rather than the books. Periwinkle aside, I like the book characters way more, so it's a shame no one writes about them.

Birdy the Mighty deserves a whole damn lot more love. Heck, it was loved enough to get a remake and still isn't enough to get fanfics.

Nice Chap, a trilogy of short children's dramas that aired as part of an obscure Saturday Morning strand on CBBC called 'Breakfast Serials', the title character was a bow-tied and plesantly behaved and acted person who spoke in rhyme. Together with his cartoonist creator and his friends from a rival comics company, they battled the evil supercomputer 'It'. Eventually, Nice Chap turned evil in the final series.

The story was written by Russel T. Davies of 'Doctor Who' and 'Queer As Folk' fame.

A lot of Tabletop RP Gs, particularly the GURPS settings Alchemical Baroque, Tales of the Solar Patrol and especially Infinite Worlds, the BRP monographs Swords of Cydoria and Ashes To Ashes (including the material in the Dust To Dust monograph which adds more stuff to the ATA setting), and the games Don't Rest Your Head, Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine and Nexus, The Infinite City (if anyone's curious, I THINK those other two each have their own unique systems while Don't Rest Your Head uses the FATE system).

Many classic furry comics doesn't have any fanfics, or they only had a few ones, like these:

  • Katmandu only had a single fanfic in Fanfiction.net, and it was written by one of the artists of the comic (Kitt Mouri). Considering the comic lasted about 20 years, one would expect to see more fics, and ever more so considering the author encouraged the fans to write fics about the comic.

  • The same goes for its sister comic, Shanda The Panda, despite having a better, more elaborated story than Katmandu, and lasting the same time as the latter, but there's no fanfics of it in the net.

  • This could be subverted with Albedo: Erma Felna EDF, since, while there's enough material for writting fics, the author is notorious for having a strict Fanwork Ban, through seems he had mellowed out of this in the recent years.

  • Even more oddly, Sabrina Online, who has lasted even more than the first two, doesn't have any fics either, despite the comic is still being published to this date.
    • EDIT: It turns out Sabrina does have fics in An Archive of Our Own, but all of them, except one, are in Russian.

Dino Crisis needs more fics

On another note, I'd love to see more fics for CarnEvil and Time Crisis since there's only a handful of old abandoned Time Crisis fics on FFN and none at all on Archive Of Our Own

Like, neither game has that much in story, but they both have a distinct atmosphere and aesthetic, especially the former with its surreal horror comedy style while the latter is a pastiche of old-school 80's and 90's action movies.
