The guy's normal get together convention has been cancelled this year.

Man two parts into the Pikmin 3 commentary and it’s aged worse than milk.

I assume it was recorded before the Switch version's announcement?

Yep. And a good chunk of the early commentary is about the fact that it’s on the Wii U

Reminds me of the Majora's Mask playthrough where Ted stated that a 3DS remake wouldn't happen, then John edits in the box for the 3DS version and slows down Ted's voice; seeing as that part was recorded before but uploaded after the announcement of the 3DS version.

And don't forget the two seperate playthroughs where they discussed the NX in two parts back to back on the day of the announcement of the announcement and the reveal the Switch.

Also, it seems they discussed the removal of Pikmin 3 from the Wii U eShop, but now that it's back, that makes the playthrough even more outdated.

So, I've been wondering, what games would you like to see the guys do a playthrough of at some point?

I'm also wondering why Ted seems to have a huge hate boner for Sonic and anime. I get that he isn't into them, but it seems that when he gets the chance he'll bash people for liking them.

It should be noted that Ted used to love Sonic, but the cascade of mediocre to poor games recently have killed any enthusiasm he had for the franchise.

Ah, so Ted let the negativity get to him. I also suspect that Mania didn't help for him as Ted isn't into Classic Sonic the way the others are.

I just tend to ignore the bad games entirely and just look at the positive.

I guess I don't like being pessimistic with Sonic at all.

Have the guys ever talked about finishing the Mass Effect series? I'm watching their run of the first game since I never did finish it back in the day but it looks like they never did 2 or 3. It's been over three years now. Did they cancel it? Or do they just not consider it a priority?

There are a couple major problems:

• The biggest is the guys want to commentate over FFVIIR sometime this year (if they haven't already done so), and likely don't want really long commentaries in a row.
• The second is Lewis. From what I understand, he has Mass Effect 2 recorded, but has issues with his own life that takes him away from the commentaries (he's partially joined and then was absent from four of eleven commentaries we've had this year {I'm counting the Dead Rising commentary, even though it was recorded late last year}).

You also have to remember that the guys take years to do some commentaries. Pokemon Gen 3, God of War 3, Other M, etc.

Sonic Unleashed is another instance of them taking years to get to a commentary.

And they also need to re-record Devil May Cry 4. And Lewis needs to get to Devil May Cry 2.

Hell, we are still waiting on them to do Mega Man and Bass, Star Fox Adventures, and Fire Emblem Awakening.
