Basically padding for her butt, then?
A lot of people on CBR are bitching about the art, saying it's ugly. I really like it. I think it's fun and adorable. I love the nut flick. I love the fact that she has multiple boxes of nuts. I love Kraven. It's so great. SG herself looks cute and kinda dorky, which is just perfect for her. She should look dorky.
I'm excited for this book.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I don't see the ugliness, myself.
If they want ugliness, they should look at the bad issues of the recent She-Hulk series. Now that was some bad art.
Personally, I think the art looks fun and cute which seems about as appropriate as possible for the kind of character that Squirrel Girl is supposed to be.
The two issues by Ron Wimberley? Yeah. I actually thought the Hellcat/Tigra stuff was pretty good, but the rest of the work in those two issues was just ugly.
Erica Henderson's art is adorable.
One guy said he wonders what "real" comic artists think of Marvel employing Henderson. He clearly thinks other comic artists would be annoyed at her getting work that could've gone to them or other artists they like, and he mostly seemed to think that they would view her employment as an insult to them. I figure most comic book artists actually really love her style, and probably have Squirrel Girl on their pull lists primarily because of her.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Eh, I doubt anyone's going to be buying the comic primarily because of its art.
At the end of the day, it's going to be Squirrel Girl that's going to be the main draw. The art might help or hurt it, but I don't think anyone would be buying it if it were the same comic artist doing the art for a title that nobody cared about.
I'd actually seen Henderson's art before Squirrel Girl — she did the art for awhile for a webcomic called Guilded Age. It's certainly a distinctive style and it's good to see her work in a place I didn't expect it. The first previews for the series made SG look a little bit derpy, but the latest stuff seems to have ironed that out a bit.
I'm hoping to start buying comics regularly, and this one is definitely on my list.
That looks wonderful.
So... The Avengers need to work on their security again
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI'm really excited for this book. That preview is great. She's adorable.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Squirrel Girl is awesome and anyone who likes her should feel awesome.
I think the first issue came out today. I really wish I could purchase it. Oh, well. I don't mind reading reviews.
Its pretty funny, not gonna lie.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI loved it. It's hilarious and adorable. She is terrible at the secret identity thing. But great at the superhero thing. And so funny.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I like her roommate
Forever liveblogging the AvengersOne does not fuck with Mew.
I assume that the next time we see Kraven, he'll be fighting Namor.
Yeah, Nancy seems neat. And Mew! I wonder if anyone's already made a fanfic for Cat Thor: Cat God of Cat Thunder.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I haven't even finished the first page and this is already the best use of 4 dollars in my entire life.
Edit: I would totally buy Deadpool's Guide to Super Villains flashcards.

For the most part I liked this comic. I thought the little bits at the bottom of nearly every page was a great touch, too.
But she's been around for hardly even an issue and already I have serious misgivings about Ms. Nancy Whitehead. She's not a deal breaker yet, but if she continues to be written the way she was in this issue, and worse, written as though she's in the right like she was with the stupid cat issue (There is no injustice in your stupid cat being banned from the college dorm room!), she may turn into a deal breaker.
And her talking style - combined with what I've seen of her attitude thus far, gives me a very bad vibe that reminds me of a certain infamous internet population.
Yeah, she screwed it up. Not only did she miss a line, but she got the rhythm completely wrong on the "At the top of trees" part. And then she screwed up the "Life is a great big acorn" line, too.
Still. Good for her having some fun. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a few more versions of the theme, too. Like this one.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.OK, who wants to see a follow up series of Kraven going up against the monsters of Marvel Comics? I sure do!
Frame it like one of those 'guy pokes dangerous animal' shows and you've got my buck.

I read she puts it in her pants, so the has, and I'm quoting here 'a great badonkadonk.'
