Interesting that they went for making his mask expressive by CGI-ing-it, something which was originally considered for Spider-man back in 2002, but then abandoned for being creepy.
I say interesting because the Deadpool film was meant to be a low budget film.
Deadpool also works brilliantly if he's got a good foil. Cable is a wee bit perfect.
"So John Connor, who the heck are you anyway?"
"I've come from the future to ensure that a powerful mutant named Apocalypse doesn't destroy everything in my own time. I am Cable, the son of Jean Grey and Scott Summers."
"Oh yeah, I totally forgot that guy wasn't dead anymore. Totally rocks for you, man. The 'being in continuity' part, not the whole 'future full of shit' part. So, you gonna be in First Class 3?"
"... what?"
"I'll take that as a no. Well then, pack up your TARDIS and get in the van, Doc Brown, cause you're in my movie now!"
".......... what?!"

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.SOO MUCH. Deadpool is a comedic 90s anti-hero meta-joker. Cabel is a serious 90s antihero time traveller.
They're two sides of the same coin!
Also; good set up for a X-Force movie.
Aaaand the article in the OP is gone now.
Do we panic now or?
Oh really when?Actually, in the script that leaked a few years back, Deadpool does have a foil: Colossus.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!I kinda want it all to be in CGI after seeing the clip
Oh really when?Collosus? As a character? Rather than a silent sometimes-shiny man-prop?
In the FoX-Men continuity!?
I didn't read the leaked script because I wanted to avoid spoilers in case it ever got made, but now I'm curious about it, since it sounds really good.
Weird in a Can (updated M-F)The test footage is directly from the leaked script (which you totally can't find uploaded on Scribd in its entirely and you absolutely shouldn't read it because it's awesome) and that script definitely has the darker, tortured aspects of the character intact.
HD version. Watch it before it gets taken down. Although do a date search on You Tube and you're guaranteed to get a new one after this inevitably gets removed.

"That wizard came from the moon!"Watching the HD really makes me hopeful for this now.
Fox will be making an incredibly bone headed mistake if they don't do this film now. This is exactly that response to the Marvel Cinematic Universe they desperately need. And I'm saying this as someone who's pleasantly surprised with how actually good the new X-Men films are turning out.
http://www.longcriercat.deviantart.com I'm thirsty. Got any ink? Resident Pen Ward antagonist....why is ryan reynolds still in this? I hate that guy
You're welcome to have that opinion.
Even if it's objectively wrong.
The script was written for Ryan Reynolds, he's been a fan since the 90's (even in the bad old days of badly drawn feet), and even 'poolie himself said he looks like "Ryan Reynolds crossed with a shar pei."
"That wizard came from the moon!"That does not make me hate Ryan Reynolds any less.
Beautiful.
Desperate for feedback, please visit Troper Page for links!Ryan Reynolds is the right actor for the movie they had never given him.
Seriously, I like the guy, but he has like the worst luck or eye at getting roles. The funny thing is, he always get this clooooose to actually making it big with a nice role fitting him, but nope, they all end up stinkers anyway.
Green Lantern was apparently not completely terrible at one point, and the director blames the finished product on the studio hacking the movie to bits in post-production.
Reynolds was doing pretty good before GL.
Smokin' Aces, Definitely, Maybe, The Nines, Buried are all excellent films.
And I still enjoyed Blade: Trinity, or at least he did great in the part of Hannibal King. Plus, he said one of the best insults ever committed to celluloid.

"That wizard came from the moon!"since every other copy has been taken down, this is the only one you can still watch. for now.
I liked it well enough. Reynolds isn't right for the part though. He can't sound crazy enough. Get Will Arnett.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.Less than two minutes long, still the best comic book movie I've ever seen.
Desperate for feedback, please visit Troper Page for links!John Kassir was the best Deadpool and you know it, you goddamn heathen!
"All you Fascists bound to lose."
Pretty much. The difference here is that time's not rebooting, only his healing factor keeps him from dying (and the reason he kept killing himself was due the death of a loved one or the psychological trauma he suffered, or both, I can't remember).
