Having seen MLP Friendship is Magic, would you all say Rainbow Dash does the reckless egotistical athletic girl archetype better than Lynn Loud and why?

Because rainbow dash isn't also saddled with an annoying superstitious personality that actively makes life less enjoyable for those around her, is not a magnet for disgusting fart/bad smell jokes, is allowed to have hobbies outside her athlete persona such as reading daring do, has a positive relationship with at least one younger character meaning she has to at least try to be a good role model and learns when she misses up.

It's a shame because I loved kickball as a kid and enjoyed playing rough with my brother so I would very like to root for a sporty, spunky buttercup type but Lynn is too many bad stereotypes and very little good ones. Rainbow Dash, aside from the awful cheerleading episode (cheer is one of the hardest sports there is, stfu with that not real athlete crap), was a positive, fun character to watch.

That said, my favorite type of cartoon girls are feminine, artsy types like Leni, Rapunzel, and Rarity because they are so different from me, it's refreshing. I'm branching out a bit though, I learned how to cross stitch this year.

Took her two and a half seasons to get any real character development, too, despite everyone else getting fleshed out in Season 2. And then she regressed hard in Season 5.

I watched the short when it premiered.

"A Crime to Dye For" was another great short.

On a rainy day, Lola bursts into Leni's room saying French Terry has died, to her confusion. It was a crime of fashion: it was her dress, and it had been dyed orange. In fact, all the laundry was dyed orange. Luan says there's only one culprit: Lincoln, the kid in charge of laundry. But he cries out he's innocent. As he's dragged away, he calls for Leni's help. Something was fishy, and it wasn't just Lynn's sandwich. He's detained at the pillow prison in the living room. Leni bribes the guard, Lily, with a cookie to get her in. He tells her that he didn't do it because he never took his polo off. It's a tough case, but she does sense that something doesn't add up. He tells her what happened during his day: at breakfast, he made a joke with the punchline "Baa-nana", then got what he calls "a light snack" from the fridge. Well, that was clearly a lie. Because when he goes to do the laundry, his stomach thought so. It happened between 12 and 12:30 PM, and the only other people who could confirm his alibi were Lynn, Luan, and Mr. Coconuts.

She interrogates Luan from the kitchen sink, where she was baking pies for her comedy routine. She was there the whole time. Then she pies Leni in the face. Luan says Mr. Coconuts would confirm her story, so she heads to the twins' room, where the marionette is playing cards. She interrogates him. He is silent and falls limp, to Leni's dismay. So Luan takes control of him. And Mr. Coconuts supports the alibi, of course. However, he stepped out because of the heat from the oven, and saw Lynn. Lynn confirms it, and Luan counted her warm-up squats for the game in Hazeltucky. The alibis were solid. She checked the basement. She found the smoking gun. The family was gathered up into the living room, and she reveals the real culprits: Lynn, Luan, and Mr. Coconuts. They had snuck into the laundry while Lincoln was in the bathroom. Obviously, this caper was a team effort. Luan put in her yellow socks, while Lynn put a red jersey, mixing into orange, while Mr. Coconuts served as lookout.

How'd she work it out? Super Suds Coconut Scent detergent, with Luan and Lynn both having their clothes impregnated with the scent. When Lincoln demands to know why, it was because he really was kind of an asshole in the first place. He actually stole the punchline from Luan's joke ("What's a sheep's favorite fruit?"), and drenched the puppet. And the sub sandwich he ate was Lynn's. They offer to replace their clothes, but Lola is not in the mood and tries to have Lana take them to the slammer. Of course, Rita stops it and tells them they've got laundry duty for the next month. And Lynn offers Lincoln a David Steele comic book. Another case solved by Leni Loud. And another question answered: Mr. Grouse is spraying the house with his hose for some reason. Rita yells at him to stop it.

This was another wonderful noir short, done in a more artistic manner with partial color. This allowed for some very striking scenes all throughout this short, particularly involving the color orange, which allowed for the scene where Lynn and Luan sabotage the laundry to really strike through. It really underlines the noir atmosphere. Of course, the acting was great. Liliana Mumy did great with her acting as a detective, while Bentley Griffin also did a surprisingly emotional performance that combined both sincerity and a slight undertone of maliciousness that I realize makes sense. Which leads me to question why Lincoln wasn't even punished for causing it in the first place. Honestly, I think he should at least apologize for spraying Mr. Coconuts and taking Lynn's sub. After all, my opinion of him varies depending on what he does. I know people don't always like Luan or Lynn, but Lincoln can be kind of a dick, too.

I would give this short a 9/10.

So, how much of Clyde's initial crush on Lori was because of Chris Savino? Looking at how it got phased out after season 2 and Savino being fired from the show during season 3, it does make me a but suspicious that Clyde's Lori crush may have been a Savino thing, with Savino's firing being why it pretty much vanished from season 3 onward.

This is the episode I'm looking forward to the most. I can't believe it took this long for cousins or any non-grandparent family members to appear.

I watched the episode yesterday.

It was quite nice, though I think they could have taken the time to actually introduce Lance's side of the family. Like, have Lincoln introduce us to them, because I didn't get their names until later. Plus, considering they've been cut off from each other for five years, you'd think their ties would have been somewhat frayed. I wonder if the younger siblings even know about their cousins, or vice versa. And I would have liked to see the Loud kids interact with each other. I mean, we just got to know them.

Does anyone else find it weird that Ronnie Anne and Stella Zhau haven't interacted with each other yet?

I think it's high time we should get an episode involving those two characters.

So, apparently in the latest episode of The Really Loud House, Lori has officially quit Fairway University. If the same thing doesn't happen in the cartoon, do you think can we safely say that TRLH takes place in an Alternate Continuity?
