I don't see how anyone could possibly argue that it's still in one. Regular Show and Adventure Time are still white-hot, and Steven Universe is heating up rather quickly. (The show's only five months old and I'm already seeing people cosplaying as the characters.)
Nostalgiawhores.
On my wave, passing oooooooonDon't forget Clarence, that show seemed to have hit the ground running.
I myself have actually stopped watching the network regularly in 2007 (around that timeframe I started watching Disney Channel, and stopped watching Nick), but I still DVR'ed shows like Brave and the Bold and Secret Saturdays until Brave and the Bold was cancelled in favor of Green Lantern: The Animated Series. I DID see a couple episodes of AT, and have seen all (or most) of Steven Universe. It's not enough for me to fully go back to watching the channel, as my main cartoon viewing now is 90s/00's cartoons (plus MLP: FIM and Gravity Falls) on websites like Watchcartoononilne and Anime Freak.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Is that why they stopped making Brave and the Bold? If so, I'm almost GLAD that show bombed, shows them for cancelling a quality show that had a proven audience in favor of a spinoff from a failed movie.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatGreen Lantern didn't have anything to do with Brave in the Bolds cancellation.
Bat B got hit with the 65-Episode Cartoon limit. The show hit the magic number and the network was ready for something new.

And then THAT show gets the shaft from CN, while Teen Titans Go! is allowed to air.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Moral of the story, they should have just ordered a fourth season of Brave and the Bold.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatMost underrated CN show in your opinion, past or present. Discuss.
I've already harped on The Life and Times of Juniper Lee enough, so I'll... add it to the pile yet again and realize that I haven't yet watched a lot of the older series yet to form a sufficient opinion.
I also don't seem to see much buzz on The Amazing World of Gumball anymore. Seems like after Season 1, it's just been "there" for everyone.
I liked Gumball, but not enough to actually follow it.
For me, Whatever Happened To Robot Jones was a great, underrated show...the problem is, the producers undermined it when they replaced the title character's original voice (a Macintalk Jr.) with that of a really bad child actor, as well as redubbing the entire first season with that voice.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I remember the dark age of Cartoon Network, AKA: CN Real....
"That's what" ~SheTrue story.
Not to point fingers, but Adventure Time's success was the death nail to shows like Young Justice and Beware the Batman. It's cheaper and quicker to make, it's 15 minutes meaning the seasons last longer, and it's both merchandise and critically successful. It's telling that more and more of the cartoons that followed note followed it's same model while all the cartoons that premiered around the same time and didn't note were all slowly phased out, one by one. Ben 10 Omniverse is pretty much the only exception (and that's because it's Ben 10.)
If I had to guess this is the reason why TTG is the last DC Nation show standing. It pretty much follow the Adventure Time model to a T.

That and Teen Titans Go is basically the successor to the Mad cartoon. Producers the same and so much of the content overlaps (Mad took advantage of the WB ownership to do a lot of DC superhero spoofs in its run, which Teen Titans carries on even outside of the team, like the episode where Beast Boy was replaced by Jana Wonder).
Most underrated CN toon for me would be Hihi Puffy Ami Yumi. I watched that whenever I could catch it during the City Era (I was in 1st grade when that show premiered...am I making you guys feel old?) and I liked it. A LOT.
Another underrated for me would Camp Lazlo. Basically most CN cartoons from the City Era (main exception being Foster's. I'm not counting shows that premiered in the Powerhouse Era that continued on into City Era)
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! You have a timeline of these eras and what they mean? I'm curious.
Yeah, I have one in my head:
BEGINNING ERA (1992-1995):
As the name implies, this is the CN's early years. They mostly show reruns of cartoons from the 60s and 70s like Scooby Doo and Flintstones. Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes also aired on the network during this time period. In 1995, CN launches a show called the "What A Cartoon! Show" were various pilots for shows would air, and the network would greenlight them for TV. About 8 shows were selected to air on CN as "Cartoon Cartoons"
POWERHOUSE ERA/CARTOON CARTOON ERA (1996-2003):
This is often regarded as CN's best era of shows. This is the era where the Cartoon Cartoons premiere in the following order:
Dexter's Lab
Johnny Bravo
Cow and Chicken
I M Weasel
Powerpuff Girls
Ed Edd n Eddy
Mike, Lu, & Og
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Sheep in the Big City
Time Squad
Grim and Evil and it's spinoffs: The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Evil Con Carne
Whatever Happened to Robot Jones
Codename: Kids Next Door
Shows like Samurai Jack, Justice League, and What's New Scooby Doo would also begin to air nearing the end of this era. By 2003 most the Cartoon Cartoons have ended. Powerpuff, Johnny Bravo, E En E, Billy and Mandy, and KND would air during the next era. This is also the era that had Cartoon Cartoon Fridays
CITY ERA (2004-2006):
This era is named for the fact that bumpers now took place in a CGI City, with the characters from various shows interacting with each other. Most of the shows that aired in this era mostly lasted in this era (Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends is the main exception). Plus, PPG and Johnny Bravo ended during this era. CCF has now become "Fridays", with Live-Action hosts as opposed to cartoon hosts.
DORK AGE (2007-2009):
Named so because of how infamous CN was during this period. While the shows that aired in this era were popular among kids ( I think), pretty much all of the adult fans hated those shows. This is also the era where Stuart Snyder takes over as president after Jim Staples resigned after the 2007 Boston Bomb Scare. (caused because of an Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode if I recall). Live-Action shows begin to air on this network, and Toonami is ended...until recently.
MODERN AGE (2010-now):
Name is self-explanatory. I can't say much on this era as I stopped CN live during Dork Age, DV Ring shows like Secret Saturdays and Brave and the Bold...which were sadly cancelled. I have seen a bit of AT, and about all of Steven Universe, and I do wanna see Young Justice, but I don't think those shows will be enough for me to come back (plus, with CN axing all the action shows, I'm not sure if I'd want to)
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I missed almost everything from 2002-2008 because I quit cartoons when I was 15. Shame.
I don't know whether to call the Modern Age good, or acceptable..
"That's what" ~SheThe Miguzi block was during the City Era, right? That one and the one directly before it were pretty much my childhood.

Man, I remember coming home from school and watching Code Lyoko from Miguzi...good times
"That's what" ~SheThat was literally me after school at like, 4 PM.

Heh, I'm 16 right now and I still watch cartoons and anime.
In fact, I don't really watch Live-Action TV...except Muppet Show but puppetry IS animation.
(though I do like live-action movies)
Miguzi was in the City Era
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Man a lot of you guys are young. I was an early child for the early era and connected with the network during the Powerhouse era, City being the height of my teenage years.
Since there is a Nickelodeon General I decided to make one for CN.
Do you guys think that Cartoon Network has gotten out of it's dork Age (that started in 2007, where Stuart Snyder became president and pretty much all Cartoon Cartoons were cancelled), or do you think that they're still in one?
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!
