Unstoppable Wasp, Wilson's Ms. Marvel, and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur are probably the best tone matches, in that order. They're generally a lot less meta, though, in case that is the important part to you.
For a fun change of pace, try Superdonald.
Optimism is a duty.I hope I don't come off as racist. I find culture and race can effect a work and I'm curious at how drastic it can be.
I'm looking for a work by an author of a minority race. Publisher doesn't matter but preferably something not attached to a brand. No manga or manwha please.
Try Roye Okupe.
And next time, just ask for an African author or somesuch, without making it sound weird.

Optimism is a duty. There's more than Africa out there. Asia and South America exist too. Regardless, thank you.
This is less a request for recommendations and more for suggestions! We are putting together the next issue of Trope Report, and I'm in charge of Creator Page spotlight. I'd like to feature comic writers or artists on this one. I'd prefer someone who isn't on, like, Al Ewing or Bendis's level, so are there any up-and-coming comics folk (with a TVT page) that has a TVT-friendly portfolio you guys could suggest or would like to promote?

I love the idea, but isn't there a rule against self-promotion on the site?
Optimism is a duty. Why would it be self-promotion? We aren’t knowingly promoting ourselves or tropers.
There is this index of comic creators with pages here. Of those, I'd say maybe Chip Zdarsky (based off the strength of his Spider-Man and Daredevil work).

Well, since you are asking people to promote their own portfolio, that would be self-promotion, right? Or did I read your post wrong?

Optimism is a duty.Oh! No, I am asking people to promote comic book creators they like. But they have to have a decent, non-stubby page on TV Tropes that already covers their work, hence the “TVT-friendly portfolio”. Check out Creator Page Spotlight for what I mean.
I think another good source for that would be comics-focussed forums, those would have a much wider perspective on what is out there.
Optimism is a duty.I have to confess that, in relation to the Inhumans some years ago, I have been Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch. I had ceased reading comics after Siege, and by the time I returned Marvel was pushing the Inhumans to replace the X-Men. I disliked the idea on an editorial level so much that I never actually gave them a chance. But what the hell, now that Ike had been defeated so badly at all levels, let's see what was it all about. I have already read "Infinity" when I was checking Hickman's Avengers run, so I know about the terrigen mist being released; I understand that it played a key part in the Inhuman comics that followed. What should I read after it? I would prefer comics that show the Inhumans interacting with the larger Marvel universe and the X-Men in particular, to see how it all fits; if there are self-contained stories I would check them later.
By the way, this request is just about the time the Inhumans were being pushed to replace the X-Men. Don't mention earlier comics, as I had probably already read them anyway.
Ultimate Secret WarsFor the requessts, I would recommend Violine, it is a fun little Franco-Belgian adventure comic.
Optimism is a duty.I recommend Donald Pocket and older Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories! (Judgement based on the norwegian versions)

Your text box ran out of space!”https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/ComicBook/Beauty https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/21470677-beauty Can someone add examples to my new trope page? Also you can read this comic online to know more. https://readcomiconline.li/Comic/Beauty
MLP/Transformers:Friendship in Disguise! I love both a lot and seeing them come together gave a lot of joy and excitement! It kinda outs Lyra and Bon Bon but what the hell.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”Anyone got recommendations for getting into Love and Rockets? I've been trying to expand my comics palette beyond superheroes and I saw the series was on discount on Comixology.

Part of me feels obliged to read Bitch Planet if I don't want to upset anyone with the media I consume. I'm not a fan of DeConnick's other works and found them bland. Looking at the previews, if you remove the message, I find it's more of the same. Is the overall package different this time?

Polish books Emilka Sza and Dollicious (now out in Canada) The art is fantastic and the words are creative!
I recently read DIE after first finding out about the tabletop RPG based on it. I highly recommend this series, especially if you enjoy tabletop RPGs.

Die is fantastic.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I've been thinking about the Flight anthology books from a while back lately. It's a shame nobody talks about them nowadays. Anthologies I feel are an underrated format for storytelling. They're still available through the public library, so I'd recommend you check them out for a mosaic of wildly wonderful art styles and fantastic worlds.
In fact, I'm actually thinking of posting a few stories from my Vol. 4 online for more to see.
"I am the lord of Purity, who tolerates no deviation." My first online storybump

Hey, I recently finished the last issue of The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, which was great, and had just before that read and very much enjoyed The Unbelievable Gwenpool, and I’m looking for something new to read. Anyone have any recommendations of a similar tone?
