What do you think of shortwave radio?
Oh wow. This was my first time being told about shortwave radio. It may not be highly effective, it barely fits the bill of what I called it "global radio station".
I was reading about shortwave radio. But this was only my first and only time being told about it and I'm poor in grasping new information. So I don't fully understand it yet. I'll read more about it soon.
I don't currently have a radio capable of listening to shortwave, but there's a variety available to listen to if you do have one. The ones which stick out to me are Voice of America and Voice of Russia/Radio Moscow, just because of the Cold War and the desire to reach random joes living in 'enemy' territory., and Vatican Radio, because the Vatican has been doing shortwave radio for a while, but there are other countries and organizations that operate stations. They do a mix of news/talk shows/propadanda in favour of whoever operates them, and music and stuff.
Shortwave can be staticky at times but seems like a global version of NPR or a mix of music and talk shows to me. I may be using a different version of global radio station than you.

It's too bad that we are yet to have a technology sophisticated enough to have a global radio station. A global radio station is like your usual radio station but it's meant to be listened by audience around the world, like the live TV broadcast on the Olympics and CNN. Note that this global radio station must be broadcasted as a whole, not just a single program or a few. It must not be an Internet radio station.
I hope something like global radio station would exist sometime soon.
