I'll say one thing.
The live action stuff on the channel is far more tolerable than the garbage on the Disney Channel.
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefWhen I was watching Nickelodeon, even as a kid, I was never all that into the live-action shows. When Drake And Josh was on, I was hoping for My Life As A Teenage Robot to return. Though, there is the one scene where Josh goes into the classroom dressed as Albert Einstein and all the students kept calling him a hobo. That part was funny.
One thing I can say is that all this Fan Dumb Nickelodeon gets really reassures me that Humans Are Bastards.
This - the same goes for the other channels, too - Nostalgia whores may have a point about keeping quality up in any medium, but too they're idiotic to even get that across correctly. Such people make me feel disdain for the human race...
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.
That's very much of an exaggeration.

Maybe, but all these people obsessed with the past... It's kinda sad after awhile of seeing it all over the place.
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I honestly think the nostalgia craze has dwindled as of 2012, mostly because of the likes of Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe.etc. While there are some people that still are nostalgic, it's not as frequent because modern cartoons have improved vastly.
Anyway, the decline of Nickelodeon is very debatable. Some people in the early 2000s were not happy with the way Nickelodeon went after the 90s and some people now think that the early 2000s was Nickelodeon's golden age. For me, Nickelodeon truly went downhill when Sponge Bob was Un-Cancelled (and even that was Executive Meddling). Now, I wouldn't mind if the creators wanted to continue despite ending the show, but they didn't and it's not just the fact that the show was unnecessarily revived, but how dependant the network has become on the sponge. It's gotten to the point of where by the later 2000s, Nickelodeon was so dependant on the show that they were in a creative rut and it's gotten to the point of where people think Sponge Bob is the only thing worth watching all because other shows are unwatchable by comparison (However, my opinion: I think the recent FOP and Tuff Puppy are more watchable than the new Sponge Bob, personally) and that's saying something as the new episodes are one of the most hated cartoons on the internet.
The reason why Nickelodeon isn't as good as it once was, is that they lack the variety the channel once had, imo. Not because they cancelled classic shows.
To me, say what you want about how Rugrats was milked, at least they gave some other Nicktoons a chance (Even though they delayed Hey Arnold's episodes for years to come) and had a bigger variety as opposed to now.

The problem is, they can come up with good cartoons, but they tend to treat them like garbage.
The Penguins of Madagascar was excellent, but almost no one paid it any mind, and they still have like, 10 unaired episodes.
Sanjay and Craig is also quite good, but they keep dragging their feet on making new episodes.
But why do modern Nicktoons (sans Korra and Ninja Turtles) still get hate?
One thing I often see them complain about in Sanjay and Craig and Breadwinners are things like Toilet Humor and Gross-Up Close-Up shots that were an integral part of shows like The Ren And Stimpy Show and Rockos Modern Life, yet people still love them anyways.

I know, right? But that's nostalgia whores for you.....
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.I may not think Sanjay and Craig as rad-awesome as it claims to be, but it still has quite a few enjoyable parts (most notably the episode "Family Re-Noodman", easily the best episode in the series) But people STILL hate it without mentioning any positives about it. And now it's coming in full-circle with Breadwinners
But enough of turning this thread into a rant thread.
Yesterday, I completed Kingdom Hearts HD I.5 Remix for PS 3, and I enjoyed it. What I really liked is the theme song for the second game, Sanctuary, it was so beautiful. But it really reminded me of Chalk Zone, one of my favorite cartoons ever.
I'm not the only one who can find some relation to this song and Chalk Zone, right?
In general news, Nickelodeon has launched it's 2014 animated shorts program. Take a gander here: http://www.cartoonbrew.com/tv/exclusive-nickelodeon-announces-2014-animated-shorts-program-95445.html
I have recently created a YMMV page for Nickelodeon; https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/YMMV/Nickelodeon
I've added in a section for Hate Dumb to show how Nick is quite possibly the most overhated channel ever.

"Bug salad" already looks like it would make a great series along with By request and Earmouse and Bottle!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceSorry to bump this thread, but I have created a page for the Nicktoons, (as in, the original animated series produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios).
What about those toons that were made for the network Nicktoons.
I don't think those count in the Nicktoons brand.
The Secret Show, Edgar And Ellen, Corneil And Bernie, Wolverine And The X Men, and Iron Man Armored Adventures were some of shows I liked and followed on that channel. Everything else, plus the lack of classics to balance some things out left a lot to be desired as the channel went through changes to bring up rating / revenues.
Doesn't seem all that worth it in the end, knowing how things are now, IMHO.
Then again, they'd remain stagant if all they aired was classic Nicktoons, which sounds alright... at first.

Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.How about Kaput and Zosky?
That one was a classic... Easily one of the best shows that only aired on Nicktoons.
Corneil and Bernie, Edgar and Ellen and The Secret Show were good too.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Kappa Mikey was actually pretty good!
It was okay, IMHO - creator was a bit of a hack, unfortunately, judging by some things...
Even if I had different face, I AM STILL DISGRACED.
I have contemplated creating this thread for some time, and I finally decided to do it now.
This is a forum for where we can discuss all our thoughts on the children's giant Nickelodeon, our favorite shows from the channel, and wither or not it's still good.
