Hey look, I'm the second post ever. I feel mildly relevant.

Yeah a regular mod wouldn't do something like that. Anyway I guess I have some coding to do to figure out how to fix the post of the day thing by tomorrow morning. Pages 15908-14 are in a different format since I saved them from the browser by hitting the back button, so it will take me a while to see what I can do with them. And figuring out how ot make it handle a spliced thread will be difficult too.

we need a data version of one of the thread visitors to go in and repair the data.

There may be a chance that the old thread can be resurrected? I dunno, I haven't gotten any information yet about whether that's possible.

Well, I just learned how to keep a website on the quick tab. Now Colin won't have to worry about the thread being nuked.

Well, if nothing else the first couple of pages will now be an accurate representation of who post here.

Well Magruda said they didn't have any backups. I do have a backup but it's highly unlikely to ever show up here.

What guarantee is that? It could very well change.

The sad part is that there are still pins on The legend of Korra thread, and that wasn't even touched. What the fuck still happened?

Based on past experience it probably will change in the next few months.

The mods haven't gotten around to unpinning everything yet.

Eh, Story has pretty much the entire thing archived. He'll just have to host it somewhere for reference.

It's funny (or sad) to think that with the lose of the old thread also went about 80 percent of my post on this forum.

Though, why are the mods asking for what threads got deleted?

Also, I can't say that this will be an accurate representation of who posts here from the get go. I'm only here because of the purge incident; I rarely say or do anything on TV Tropes at all anymore.

Please do. I don't mind losing all the posts about shenanigans, but I will miss all the old insightful discussion posts.

Sounds like more than one person joined in on the thread. And hosting is easier said then done. I'm not really sure where I would host it or if there's much interest in the first place. But posts of the day should be able to continue.
