I had a LOT of issues as a teen that prevented me from wanting to learn (only thing I'll say is that I wasn't a troublemaker, but did have issues). I'm 27 now, and have no interest in learning to drive (it used to be because between my part-time job and commuting to and from college, not to mention all my homework, I had no time. Now it's just because people in my town drive like maniacs (not all, but a good number). Well, not so much like maniacs as like no one else is on the road. We have a decent public transit system, and it's cheaper than owning a car, so it works out.
“Imagination is more important than knowledge." -Albert EinsteinHello, possible new friends.
I've got all the registration I need to take the driving test, but my mother doesn't trust me to take it yet (despite the fact that she's too lazy to help me practice and ends up blaming it on me for not reminding her, my dad thinks I'm incompetent and will wreck his car, and my brother's too poor to afford a possible accident).
My driving instructors, much like my math teachers, hated me. Even the one chill, cool, swear-he-was-high guy who said nothing bothered him.

At last, two years later,I get to bid this thread farewell.
Although I don't have the license itself yet, that'll come in the mail soon.
@Terlwyth Congratulations
Thanks, have to admit it's a bit weird,as I'm the one who even started this joint.
You can still hang out I guess, even if you don't forget the criteria (though I'm not sure the exact rules of Troper covens)
Well if there are token coupled tropers in the Singles (I used to be),I guess this is okay.
Anyway, went past a huge wildfire yesterday,...pretty creepy sight.
Oh like a coyote or wolf or bear, or something? (it now occurs to me you might not be from North America and they wouldn't be the right ones but you know big predatory animals in general)
I have a license but I'm too poor to afford a car.
Plus I may not be a very good driver.
I usually ride my bike back and forth, say, to college, to Publix, whatnot. Otherwise I use the bus or ask someone for a ride.
Still too broke, and haven't had lessons in ages.
MY SOUL IS DARK BUT MY HAIR IS COLORFUL — Brahian Pokémon AlchemistI'm still waiting on the driving instructor from a nearby town to come over in the summer (he's good and relatively gentle, and taught my brother).
I'm over 16 by at least 20 years, and I can't drive. I use public transport to get to work. And everywhere else for that matter.
(Annoyed grunt)I'm living in a place with public transport now, so it's easier, but for a while I lived in the suburbs of a town with no public transport so I relied on other people to drive me everywhere, which was tough.
I plan to learn this Summer. Cause it's kinda screwed how the one who knows how to get around can't drive.
It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.I really need my driver's license!
What happened? Why am I not allowed to post anymore!?Have you ever noticed that the driver's manual is like really boring, like a textbook without any of the interesting parts.
I need to learn myself....
I'm 19 and can't drive. I'm autistic, so I get the "We're not sure you can handle it." speech
I live in NYC though, so I get around just fine.
I've read all the manuals lying around because I just love reading technical manuals. So I could probably pass the written test if I took it.

I was going to a therapeutic boarding school when I was sixteen where, among other more serious and less reasonable restrictions, students couldn't have cars. I stopped caring along the way, and am aware that I have some mental disconnect when trying to operate things similar to cars, so I don't want to learn how to drive until I get to a point in my life in which I absolutely have to.
It can't be helped. So how long does it take to get a liscense
Cut off one head 2 more shall take it's place! Hail HydraTwitch 'ere. Botched the written exam so it can be another year before I can get a chance again.
Try imagining how far the universe extends! Keep thinking about it until you go insane.
I apparently can't drive because of my physical problems and neither can my mum... this causes a lot of problems
