Posting a video review that you did probably falls under the rules against advertising I think
New theme music also a boxIf I have to remove the link, then I don't mind. I didn't think it applied because I posted it to want to get the opinions of others on my video relating to Zootopia. The rule says don't advertise anything, even if it's something the user created, but I didn't think it applied because I assumed merely posting a link to a video related to the topic with context about what the video is about didn't count as straight up advertising or promoting it, especially since I just wanted critiques from others. But again, if it gets me in hot water, I'll go and remove it.
Once again, get off your goddamn hobby horse about this film. Last warning.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Premiering on November 9th, the brand new 6 episode mini-series: Zootopia+
“Zootopia+” heads back to the fast-paced mammal metropolis of Zootopia in a short-form series that dives deeper into the lives of some of the Oscar®-winning feature film’s most intriguing residents, including Fru Fru, the fashion-forward arctic shrew; ZPD dispatcher Clawhauser, the sweet-toothed cheetah; and Flash, the smiling sloth who’s full of surprises. The series is directed by Josie Trinidad (Co-Head of Story, “Zootopia”; Head of Story, “Ralph Breaks the Internet”) and Trent Correy (Director, “Once Upon a Snowman” and “Drop”), and produced by Nathan Curtis (Associate Producer, “Encanto” and “Raya and the Last Dragon”).
- Hopp on Board – When Judy boards the train from Bunny Burrow to Zootopia to begin her life as the big city’s first bunny cop, Stu and Bonnie’s youngest daughter, Molly, hitches a ride atop the train, forcing the down-to-earth duo out of their comfort zone and into an action-packed rescue mission.
- The Real Rodents of Little Rodentia – Newly engaged, Fru Fru kicks off wedding planning with enthusiasm and flourish—at least until her scene-stealing cousin Tru Tru arrives to assume the role of Shrew of Honor. A battle for the spotlight ensues until a close call with a giant donut reveals that for better or worse, no one knows you better than family.
- Duke the Musical – After being wrangled and arrested in a giant donut—compliments of Officer Judy Hopps—clever criminal weasel Duke reevaluates his life, pondering where he went wrong—in song. In a musical aptly staged in his own mind, Duke contemplates how to go from a small time crook to the Big Time!
- The Godfather of the Bride – A touching tale about the powerful arctic shrew known as Mr. Big revisits Fru Fru’s big day when he delivers a revelatory father-of-the-bride speech. Taking guests back in time to his days as Mr. Small, a new immigrant to Zootopia, he imparts the wisdom he gained then about the importance of friends, family and community.
- So You Think You Can Prance – ZPD dispatcher Clawhauser persuades his boss, Chief Bogo, to audition for “So You Think You Can Prance.” The stakes are high as the ultimate prize is a dream-come-true opportunity to dance on stage with megastar pop sensation Gazelle.
- Dinner Rush – As super server Sam urgently tries to finish her restaurant shift to make a once-in-a-lifetime Gazelle concert, Flash and Priscilla show up at the last minute with hopes of a once-in-a-lifetime dinner.
It's not a police procedural television series, but this will suffice.
I think I prefur this over a procedural. I almost wish it was wholely original characters.
Even without it being a police procedural, I think I would've preferred a non-crime slice of life show about Judy and/or Nick rather than the "here's a bunch of slice of lifes starring everyone but the protags of the film" concept they went with here.
You can tell the last few years hit this concept hard.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. The proposed episode list does seem to nibble around the shape the movie already has
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI am surprised that it’s not a sequel series and more a bunch of interquels. Zootopia DLC.
Yes, it seems to be "what were the side characters up to while Judy and Nick tried to crack the Otterton case". Kind of similar to Jack Jack Attack and Dug's Special Mission from Pixar.
Shame there seems to be no Gazelle focus episode.
I'm sure she'll get some focus in the 5th and 6th episodes even if bogo and flash are the main stars.
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532The waiter in the Flash segment seems to be an otter who is a Reused Character Design of Mrs. Otterton, but is clearly a different character named Sam. I wonder if the two are canonically related (and reference what happened to Mr. Otterton).
Just got finished watching all of Zootopia+, loved that brought back Pop-Pop (an unused character from deleted scenes from the original movie) in the first short.
I like how all the shorts are in chronological order. Mostlynote .
I wasn't expecting Duke's short to go that heavy on the Dark Humor, lol.
Also, Big's short had a lot of lore about the city. It wasn't always the inclusive megacity it is in the present. It also kind of reinterprets Big as a Corrupt Corporate Executive rather than a Mob Boss. His family business made it rich, and he used that money build Little Rodentia entirely. He literally owns the whole neighborhood! Dang!

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Just rewatched "Duke the Musical" this evening, I really love Alan Tudyk's singing in that short. I really hope Disney's upcoming animated film Wish (celebrating the Disney Company's 100th Anniversary) gives him a singing role or musical number. For those curious, he voices Valentino the Goat.
Sam is absolutely adorable. Her short was my favorite one I think xD
Honestly kinda disappointing to be honest. Only the last two were entertaining and was kinda slapped by the Bogo/Clawhauser ep for being a what-if. I think it being tied to the events of the movie hurt it so much.
I wonder why the Fru Fru episode is called "Real Rodents of Little Rodentia" instead of "Real Mousewives", which would be the obvious pun. Sure, Fru Fru is a shrew rather than a mouse and bride rather than a wife, but she's not a rodent either...
They missed the obvious
Forever liveblogging the AvengersA Zootopia sequel is officially in the work!
For reference, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Bob Iger just teased sequels to this film, Frozen, and Toy Story in today's Quarter 1 call.

Hope the sequel gives the other side and supporting characters from the original film a bigger role.
Yay, a sequel!
