Since most of the time the necroers (necromancers?) are first-time RP posters, would it be possible to add this to the herald message? Like a "Hey... did you double check the timestamp?"

That's a good idea. And maybe have a IF NOT, TRY CHECKING SOME OF THE MORE RECENT RP IN THE SIGNUP PAGES

OK, in light of a fair number of recent incidents of RPs being dredged up from the depths of the board, I'm having to say this.
If you're looking to join an RP that's more than half-way down the first page, please remember to read the time-stamps, and if possible check in the other boards to see if the RP is even still running; people have been coming in here with the right enthusiasm but are digging up RPs that have been dead for a year or more.
