As no one has expressed wishes for me not to post about this:

To anyone here who is a Republican or associates him or herself with the term "right-wing" or "conservative," I have created a poll on Google Forms to see thoughts on this year's election, along with asking a bit about LGBT rights.

People, what are your thoughts on Rebel Media?

I rarely watch political news and even then with a little bit of expectable skepticism, but I'd like to hear what you think.

I should make an alt-right, nationalist (but not racist) anti-globalist Trope Coven.

So, how has the past couple of months been for you guys? I keep hearing Fox News sing Trump's praises and negativity from literally everywhere else.

I honestly consider it far too early to really pass judgment and consider mainstream media input to be pretty worthless. As for what I think, so far it's alright for the most part, and really not worth this much fuss when looking closer at certain aspects (to be frank, I believe hubris still appears to be a huge problem for the other side). Again, I'm wary of the protectionism Trump ran on, but we'll see down the line.

EDIT: Okay, there is one thing since this writing which did miff me (this whole internet privacy rights thing), though I would like to research this issue more given that it demands more nuance than "selling internet history to the highest bidder", since I don't want the government to have domain of anyone's history either. And if anything, I'm far more pissed towards the Democrats for what I see as not only incredibly asinine, but demonstrates their lack of reflection on why they lost in the first place.

Posted not too long ago(see abovewink).

Btw, another inquiry here: Anyone watched a Youtube news channel Black Pigeon Speaks? I have. I've watched just some of his videos and not anywhere near all. Anyone have any thoughts on BPS?

[up] I've never heard of him.

Hey, what do you guys think of the non-voting of the AHCA? I was wondering what you guys thought. (Not a conservative, btw).

For what I think of the AHCA thing, good riddance! I do like Rand Paul's idea for reform anyhow.

I asked with a little caution, because Black Pigeon does seem sort of shady to me.

Anyone else get the idea that the Canadian and American politics threads in the On-Topic section of the forum would be downright hostile to conservatives? They're convinced that anyone that voted for Trump is an idiot at best, and probably a bigot.

No one said that Trump is perfect (he isn't), but judging a person's entire character by the way they voted is one of the most bigoted things you can do.

As far as I know "The General US Politics Thread" is almost solely frequented by left-leaning, anti-Trump posters.

Also one thing I notice on this site is that they favor pro-choice views, and view pro-lifers as being misogynistic or just shaming women for decisions.

If you don't mind someone somewhat apolitical butting in on the thread, how do you feel about Trump's first few months in office?

Me and my - conservative - father personally feel like he doesn't respect the office - leading to some problems pretty much immediately. I'm just curious how others feel.

This is a lesson not to do celebrity candidates ever again, except for those who actually have governmental experience at lower levels like governors or even mayors.

If we rapidly push a Constitutional amendment through and put Schwarzenegger in office - while simultaneously destroying all non-Taco Bell restaurants - we could end up living Demolition Man. Count nothing out yet.

In all seriousness, thank you for responding.

There is a reason why there is an amendment saying only born citizens can become president.

I'm quite satisfied with his job so far, especially considering the opposition. He's doing a lot better than I could have hoped from any of the other candidates, in any case.

re: pro and anti-life comments on this site: I have noticed a distinct trend towards generally left-leaning opinions on TV Tropes. The Values Dissonance and Unfortunate Implications pages in particular seem almost as if they were torn straight from Feminist Frequency.

I wonder what's appropriate to put into forum signatures. I do pixel art and stuff, like my avatar!

Go on many of the pages these days, and they strongly lean towards those opinions. Although to be honest a lot of people on the forums actually are critical of Feminist Frequency due to a lot of their misinformed stances on gender in gaming.

The demographic on tv tropes heavily leans towards the progressive crowd, with only small allowances for conservative opinion.

[up] Gotta get used to it and know when to hold yourself back when browsing the other political forums on this website [lol].

I wished that at least the subject of abortion was up for debate - banned topic, because conservatives aren't given a chance to counter-argument the general view here (it all stems from mysoginy and hate, nevermind the baby) without going Off-Topic.

If you go into the USA Politics thread, then it really can get heated up with talks about conservatives and their stances.

[up] I do understand the negativity towards conservative views on LGBT rights and healthcare.

But to talk about unrestricted illegal immigration being good and sexism as the reason Hillary lost being a given, it can get perplexing.

They practically have elevated Hilary to be a saint there, and think the whole country should be kissing at her feet. Heck, I imagine if Hilary was elected they would just shoot down any criticism of her as just being sexist.
