All Purpose Megami Tensei / Persona Fanfiction Thread

I like suggestion one and three. I'm trying to come up with a plot where all the Megami Tensei characters interact with each other and I think both work.

Best I can say that Nyarly is the Big Bad of the show. The fic has a trope page.

Nouct: I can only confidently speak about the characters from Persona 4, but I can give you some ideas for... Hmm, almost everyone being in Tokyo. Five or even six out of eight people.

Wait, are you using all the "party members" from all four Persona games, only the M Cs, or some other combination?

I'm considering a crossover between Fate and Megami Tensei, but first I'd like to ask about the power comparison between characters. Let's say an average summoner with a COMP against an average magus, and Louise Cyphre against...I don't know. A True Ancestor...? One of the top ten DA As...? A sorcerer...?

Based on the original novels or the first MT game?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. Louise Cyphre in general from the core video games: SMT, SMT 2, Nocturne, SMT 4, etc.

I don't think I'll involve Lucifer per se. It's not a good idea, seeing as the Fallen Angel can stalemate God, so he can probably kill ORT with just a thought.

I was trying to experiment with how the different events of everything in the franchise would affect each other. I really don't have the time for it though.

You probably shouldn't put Lucifer as an opponent. Word of God is that we still haven't seen his true form. Try someone like Belberith from Devil Survivor

That's the whole idea. Basic idea is that Louise Cyphre manifests in the Nasu-verse, is displeased by Humanity's general stagnation - he does care for Humanity though it's not necessarily a good thing - and starts gathering 'champions' to stir things up.

It's not just that his true form hasn't been revealed, he'd be utter OP. This guy can stalemate the GREAT WILL. Nothing in Nasu-verse canon would even come close to matching him at his full power.

EDIT: Naturally if Louise Cyphre shows up, the Angels will follow to oppose Chaos.

Akasha is basically it, being the origin of all things. Considering that reaching it is almost guaranteed to make the magus in question vanish from reality (those who return possess True Magic), it sounds a lot like the impersonal Great Will which YHVH and Kagutsuchi are avatars of.

Kamen Rider / Shin Megami Tensei crossover.

I mean, we got Mons, we got using Technology to manipulate magical forces, people changing themselves due to merging with strange creatures.

Hell, the Demonica even acts as Powered Armour. The Gun Computer for Devil Summoner Soul Hackers could be a good weapon.

The comps can be the transformation trinkets, in the form of belts, made to summon the armour (or allow someone to change into a Rider Form and wield the power of Demons in a controlled fashion) and we can run the gamut on how to use the different spells and skills.

It's still a pretty rough idea. Currently, my knowledge of the whole Shin Megami Tensei series consists of what I've seen of Persona3 and Persona4, having watched some clips of Devil Survivor, Devil Survivor 2 (up until the route splits for both), a little bit of Soul Hackers and Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne, and am currently playing Shin Megami Tensei Iv.

I still have a lot to figure out, but this one may have usurped my Riders vs Sentai idea. I think it can really work.

That idea can work if the concepts of Decade is used.

Are you going to throw in everything or just the stuff that you do know?

x3 Kaneko is also a big fan of Tokusatsu sentai/Kamen Rider from what I've heard. Probably why he likely didn't have a problem with the new designs for IV being made by people who work in those type of franchises.

I actually had a similar plan with me own in terms of mixing some aspect of SMT with the Persona stuff, including the Devil Summoner games.

I'll probably stick mostly with the stuff that I know, but I may take a look at other games through Youtube.

Such as seeing all the endings for Devil Survivor and Devil Survivor 2, watching the rest of Soul Hackers and Nocturne, and maybe checking out some other stuff just to get as much as possible.

Then of course, comes plot. That being said, considering I have bad luck at actually starting ideas, who knows if they will ever actually exist. But it won't hurt to try.

Also is the setting going to be After the End or modern society collapsing before the end?

Don't know yet. Like I said, there's still a lot to work out first.

Not sure how people will play a game with Demons and all that. It'll take some thought.

Anyway, it's all still in it's infancy for now. My first order of business is to beat Shin Megami Tensei IV and continue to get some ideas from that.

I work on the other stuff later.

People were playing the Inves Game, which somehow seemed like a good idea.

Using actual demons isn't much of a step up from that.

Fuck, Gaim is a Cosmic Horror Story all on its own, the enemies include Physical Gods, and even on the chance that Earth survives, countless other civilizations out in the universe are going to get fcked up in the same way.

Swap out Lock Seed peddling for the Black Auction from Devil Survivor, and wham! There's a fair chunk of your integration done for you.

I was going to take most of the settings of the SMT series and take it all, put it in a blender and hit the purae switch.

You may have something there.

I could still do that as well. I might integrate some of the different organizations that have existed across the different series like the Kuzunohas, The Phantom Society, The Shomonkai, and maybe some other stuff. There might be multiple factions all vying for the demons, as well as independents working to discover the truth, or just caught up in everything unwillingly.

Whether it reaches end of the world status or not is something I haven't decided yet......

Oh. I can have maybe an alternate Tokyo that was devastated where the battles take place like The Mirror world and the Demon World can be like Helheim.

Oh yeah, this could work.
