Discuss TV Tropes itself, such as observations you've made about the site/forum/wiki.
NOTE: Keep it civil; try not to get into any Flame Bait-y territory, per the forum rules (in particular, drama importation and popcorn posting are not allowed, and this thread is for discussion about the site and not the users). In addition, while discussing the Edit Banned thread is not prohibited on its own, discussing and/or alluding to specific cases is not permitted.
One thing I've noticed is that for all how the page for They Might Be Giants claims them to be the unofficial official band of this wiki, there's relatively few people on this site who seem to ever reference them.

That sounds like something that would be handled by the too-long page repair thread. But they probably wouldn't want to split off a live-action film page since Cool Car is only about 150K characters.
Welcome to Corneria!
- Text-Formatting Rules
- "abundance of examples" is not a sufficient reason to split a page, it needs to have the automated warning about being too long.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupApparently having multiple accounts is now allowed, on conditions.
I really should read any time an Administrivia page is edited, because some changes return as a surprise.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt's a bit frustrating trying to contribute group images to Image Pickin' because there are a lot of images that seem okay at first, but then, after being resized to fit the standards of the website, become too small and/or make the group too hard to see for some.

Only just now did I realize that Laser-Guided Karma always gets used in the context of "bad character has bad things appropriately happen to them" and very rarely vice-versa, even though it can go both ways. I suppose it's just easier to identify when it happens to bad characters?
back lolI never got what separate laser-guided from normal karmic endings.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.Karmic Jackpot seems to the trope that involves good things happening to characters who do good deeds, hence why Laser-Guided Karma only focuses on punishments.
THE GOLDEN AGE WILL RETURN AGAIN!I think the idea is that Laser-Guided Karma is a kind of Chekhov's Gun mixed with Hoist by Their Own Petard - not only do evildoers have bad things happen to them, but the specific bad things are directly related to what they did in unexpected ways.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableIf that's the case, the current image on Laser-Guided Karma isn't illustrative of the trope (the lightning has nothing to do with the cat)
Image Pickin' BacklogI think it's meant to show Karma That Returns Immediately, and I don't know if I'd consider that another form of the same trope or not.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableWas there a period where Umineko: When They Cry was believed to be a direct continuation of Higurashi: When They Cry and didn't have own page? I keep seeing examples like
- Higurashi: When They Cry: ...
- Also occurs in Umineko: When They Cry...
Despite them being loosly-related but independant works that share the author.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupPeople just group them together when they share tropes because they are part of When They Cry. People like to group together even if continuity is just vaguely shared.

Macron's notesThey are very similar, even though the only story link is the implied backstory of two characters. They get grouped together because editors don't want them separated by half a folder (which is what alphabetic ordering results in). Besides When They Cry is considered franchise at least by the author, though I don't know if that has any legal meaning.

Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years. The point is that those two have a chronic case of bad indentation, and the history shows these examples are very old and also were added during times where as YMMV page says the adaptations were more popular than the novels.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAnd another problem I've found about these: Higurashi has Index Bloat, as in being in more than 30 indexes. I've excluded it from Ecchi and HaremGenre.Anime And Manga, which others should I remove?
The rest make sense to me. If indexes for adaptations and creators are a problem, would feel like it'd be more of a wikitalk question.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt's almost been 11 months since I made this wishlist query but I still hope it does happen. Once tropers' edit histories indicate which edits create pages, I intend to rearrange my troper page's list of work pages I've made by category rather than chronologically.
Pantheon Wick Cleaning | "And your Lord never forgets." - 19:64I list it both ways. Though within namespace categories, I still have them listed chronologically.
Mr. Fanservice and Ms. Fanservice are probably a Chastity Couple becuase there can't be Fanservice Jr.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWouldn't that be a Fille Fatale / Kidanova?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576^ Those tropes aren't about fanservice. They are attraction tropes that operate in universe.
Macron's notesIt is quite odd how many of the most sexualised characters give no hint of being sexual in-story. It's partly to avoid making the audience jealous.
Stories don't tell us monsters exist; we knew that already. They show us that monsters can be trademarked and milked for years.I just thought of this one. Didn’t the page image for Heroic Sacrifice used to be Yusuke saving the kid from the oncoming car? I like the caption for the new one, though. XD

I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.
I really can't navigate the site to find stuff like formatting policy, and in my current predicament, where to propose a trope page to be split into a sub page for an abundance of examples (Cool Car in my opinion needs to have its own page for Live Action Film at the very least)
