Isn’t it against forum rules to just complain about a given work?
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyApparently not. It's just threads about complaining about shows.
Complaining about tropers on the other hand...
But, regardless, I'll thump it.

Depends on how you interpret that.
Anyway, the epilogue, and the cut episode 11 talked about at the start, sort of confirms Wyldchyld's theories about Raven's semblance - in that she sensed Yang's arrival back to Remnant and instantly portaled to her. So her semblance does inform her to some degree about the people she has a link to.
Ruby's vision showing Raven and Summer, and then Raven reentering the story right after is fun too.
Also it looks Tyrian and Mercury are going to team up with the Crown, I wonder how the show will handle them for people who haven't read Before the Dawn
REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BUY GOLD BYEEEE! | She/HerIt’s weird we got someone in here complaining that RWBY united all of humanity when the epilogue deals with the fact that not even the end of the world is making everyone get along.
If you bothered paying attention at all you’d know that you can’t just tell Am to do something, you’d have to:
- Provide the chemical formula for sleeping gas
- provide schematics for its dispersal
- deal with the fact that gas loses its effectiveness if it’s distributed over a large area exposed to open air.

Eh?
The first half of that animatic seemed to say "nothing's peachy" and the end seemed to imply "but actually."
The "world answered" as Qrow said and apparently sent ships to Vacuo. So, world peace in some form, or at least a potential NATO.
EDIT: I'd have shaved a little bit of that Ponderstorm scene and the "Ruby finds herself" part for that epilogue. Look I'm happy Yang and Blake found each other but I'm not fond of sappy romantic scenes. And Ruby ultimately choosing herself... I mean "cool" but, I would've preferred the dialogue with the blacksmith shortened.
Alas, budget.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).People were openly leaving the city and were still snapping at Atlas refugees at the very end. Qrow even states he’s optimistic despite things still being bleak.
Like they did with Penny and the portals?. And are you really telling me that knowing that would be impossible?.

Do you think Salem knows the chemical composition of “sleeping gas” and has blueprints for a gas dispersal machine lying around in that castle of hers?
They gave Am schematics for Penny and for how the portal network should be structured and used the example of his own portal, and doing the latter without firmer instructions bit them in the ass.

The situation is that officially everyone is working together but there's a lot of tension down on the ground, the leaders are all in cooperation but old wounds are flaring up and causing the normal people to not trust each other, it's both good and bad
REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BUY GOLD BYEEEE! | She/HerI didn't see them providing any formula to create portals or a pocket world, only a schematics of a existing place.
Why bother with sleeping gas when you can just make a really really big rock a couple thousand feet in the air?
They gave Am examples he knew of and lived in, and again the lack of detail absolutely came back to haunt team RWBY. They told him to use the portals into the vault as inspiration for the portals and a space like the vault, two things he can literally see right there in that moment. He also required the literal coordinates of each portal location.
When they proposed something he didn’t know (how to make a Robot) he demanded detailed schematics in order to do it. So again, the show explicitly says that you need to be as detailed as you can to prove how your idea is meant to work. And anything you don’t provide will come back to bite you hard.
Knowing Am, he’d probably make the rock completely hollow and soft if you said “make a giant rock above this city.”

Remember, Salem needs more than just to get all the relics, she needs humanity divided when she does, so if she just uses the staff to easily knock out everyone it won't be enough, that's why she's having Mercury and Tyrian work with the Crown, to spread disunity first.
It's the reason Salem spent so long in the shadows, she didn't want everyone teaming up to stop her, but when she attacked Atlas I think she thought she was close enough to the end that she decided to try to bullrush them to get the relics before people had the chance to unite, but that didn't work so now she's back to trying to sabotage them
REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BUY GOLD BYEEEE! | She/HerIs the Crown still a thing?
Half of them were brainwashed soldiers who were freed, Jax had his mind wiped, and Gillian gave herself up(And the only reason she was doing this to start with is that its what Jax wanted to do).
The First manThe epilogue shows Mercury and Tyrian breaking both out.
Tyrian and Merc broke some people with suspiciously detailed designs out of jail and left a note saying "No place for royalty" and in another shot there's some graffiti saying "Long live the Crown"
They've probably gained a resurgence after all the refugees came in, saying that the other kingdoms are taking advantage of them again
I'm not sure if they broke Jax out, the people they were with both seemed to be women, and besides one of them almost definitely being Gil the other person seemed to be too big to be Jax

REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BUY GOLD BYEEEE! | She/HerSo just saw the video. It was overall good, but given everything that's happened with the show potentially ending it feels even more melancholy. I like the idea of Nora defending the kids especially the orphans. I also like the idea that in the event of a huge crisis some people come together while at the same time previous grievances don't just disappear especially stuff that is both real and going on for generations. The mural of Ruby was also really nice. The voice acting when everyone sees team RWBY is back is also really touching.
I do have some mixed thoughts:
I feel like it's a shame that team RWBY didn't really develop or learn anything that would definitely help them defeat Salem. It would have been interesting foreshadowing to see something like Ruby learning how to rally the mice to help defeat the cat as a microcosm of what she has to do now on a larger scale. Or maybe just a new power for the team that they work hard to unlock that can remove the gods curse. Having Ruby be in a better place mentally is nice, but it still feels like the series doesn't want to give clear foreshadowing of what team RWBY is going to do. I guess for comparison Goku vs Frieza really built up the Super Saiyan legend across multiple chapters. And when Goku reappears the tide clearly turns because that gulf in power is shrinking. Another example is probably Luffy vs Kaido where Luffy's final powerup changes the entire dynamic of their fight.

Well I do think Ruby learned a way to stop Salem, but it's not obvious, remember Salem's entire is to kill herself and Ruby went through an arc where she tried to kill herself and came through it, I feel like that is going to be relevant when dealing with Salem
REALITY IS AN ILLUSION, THE UNIVERSE IS A HOLOGRAM, BUY GOLD BYEEEE! | She/HerI also doubt that Jax will play any role cause the last time he was seen was when he was forced into Semblance-induced catatonia. Unless I missed something in the video, it was likely Gillian and Carmine.
Yeah, I had a whole discussion with someone about this.
- Salem can't be killed by any conventional means
- Ruby just un-alive'd herself using some dank kush found in an alternate dimension
- said alternate dimension is where Remnant's creators are from
- entire Volume devoted to explaining what Ascension and reincarnation are and how they're not exactly bad things
- franchise has established repeatedly that fighting Salem physically and mentally is a fool's game, and that Salem is hiding suicidal intentions behind her destruction
- probably gonna bring Salem there and do some math
My only doubts now are that A) Volume 10 won't be completed, and B) they already did this to Neo, so it might not be as satisfying on Salem

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).
The thing about revealing Salem earlier is that some would have defected to her side (like Hazel) or tried to stay hidden (like Raven) out of fear of her power or despair at the knowledge of the Brother Gods having set up her and Ozma's Forever War, rather than risk it all by joining Ozma. Humanity still would not have united if Ozma had been completely honest about everything to the world right from the get-go, so something must have changed by the time Atlas fell. Perhaps Salem might accidentally screw herself over by running roughshod over the world, so the survivors now believe they have nothing left to lose and might actually unite once Team RWBY get back?
