Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Sadly, most of the artists/writers who made Mad great are either retired or no longer with us (Mort Drucker, Don Martin, Al Jaffee, John Caldwell, Dave Berg, Jack Davis, Antonio Phobias, and the founder William Gaines). I think only Dick De Bartolo and Sergio Argones were the only ones still around when it went under.
RE: Mad being 'Robot Chicken for kids', it (and Regular Show) were apparently designed to be a little edgier to ease into Adult Swim better, so it was less a redundant idea and more (for lack of a better word) a possible gateway drug for kids who were growing out of regular CN.
