Yeah, it kind of went on tangents at the end and then just stopped. I really liked the first four chapters, they were a great alternative way of looking at superheroes. I’m always frustrated by how much better a lot of superpowers would be for helping the world in nonviolent ways rather than by fighting bad guys, and this comic was one of the few pieces of superhero media that seriously addressed that.
“Flying brick” is one of the least useful powersets. Healing; superscience; the ability to teleport other people or create portals (instantaneous low-carbon-travel); powers over matter that allow large-scale geoengineering or rapid city-building; nature powers that could restore ecosystems in minutes to hours; pyrokinetic powers for putting out forest fires; those are the kinds of things that could transform economies, societies, the world.
“Everyone who could save the world is already dead” was such a killer line.

I miss this comic... it did a lot of things right. But going on two years of hiatus...
