Mary Sues in what way? The plot doesn't revolve around how special or great any of them are, and they're not shown as being morally superior to Steven (especially Pearl).

Not at all... She's just tough - so the voice matches that. Well, that's my take on it, anyway.

The thing that really irritated me with truteal (if you don't mind?)

I feel this has become something else for Cartoon Network. And hopefully something to kill off a fad that he insinuated this was in the same vein as. If you need ask me what I mean by that, don't. You know what I mean.

The characters here finally feel real. Which is something I've not felt in Cartoon Network cartoons for the longest time. By the point the episode got to its big climax it was almost like this was becoming Chronicle: the Cartoon Series. Which actually isn't A BAD IDEA AT ALL.

If Rebecca knows anything it's writing something that feels like something more. Adding that there are actually competent artists on the series (such as a guy who's worked on the GORILLAZ MUSIC VIDEOS of all things) this may just be the thing to bring Creator Driven Cartoons back into the light stronger than that fad, the other fad that was actually incredibly well written until it reached its third season, and the genius Gravity Falls did.

So far, I'm excited. This is actually GOING somewhere. I like it. I want to see that continue.

Beautiful character designs, a catchy musical number, witty execution. If that's even a thing. Everything. And Stephen's a cutie.

There are other uploads of it on You Tube.

It's kind of interesting how the series is essentially your typical action show from the view of the "plucky kid sidekick" character. Though, unlike a lot of the characters, Steven isn't insufferable.

That alone means there's hope for it to reach some level of greatness, IMHO - Bring it on.

That, however - is one of many things that gives me confidence in this show.

Finally got to see it.

So who exactly uploaded the initial video of the pilot, and who took it down? There seems to be some conflicting facts elsewhere online about this.

It was originally on Cartoon Network.

Then Rebecca's Brother uploaded it to his Youtube channel. Why either of these were taken down is beyond me.

I heard Rebecca Sugar makes music too. Does she play an instrument, or write, or sing?

So we're both right. CN's video and then Bob Sugar's video were both taken down.
