Revan is canonically male. The Exile is canonically female.

[up]Again, that depends on who you ask. According to the guys behind KOTOR 2, Revan was also female. According to Bioware's take, Revan is male. Sometimes.

Per official Star Wars canon, which is all rather dubious these days anyway, Revan is male, Exile is female. I take the word of the Lucasfilm/Disney folk above that of developers. Especially given my notorious distaste for a particular KOTOR 2 developer.

And since it's all Legends and I like the female playthrough of Kot OR better than the male, I'm making Revan female.

And for mistake... I mean in terms of political power. Revan could undoubtedly curbstomp Palpatine, especially if Palps has no idea who Revan is. But Revan's known for cunning, and won't want to destabilize the Republic if Palps has a backup plan. (Also Revan has to figure out that Palps is a Sith, but suspicions will be flaring after realizing that Palps is only in power still due to the war)

If a single fanfic is posted to two different threads, is it considered spamming? tongue

My crossover fic Tails of the Old Republic has now updated! And after a nearly 4-month delay, geez. I sure hope my watchers find it worth the wait! cool

Chapter 49 is available here on Deviant Art, and here on Fan Fiction (dot) Net.

If anyone is new to my series, I recommend starting from Chapter 001.

And just clarify what Amanda posted on the previous page... yes, there's Ship Tease between Tails and Mission in later chapters. Tails, I should point out, is 14 years old in this fanfic, same age as Mission. And shipping is by no means the focal point of this story, anyway.

Just thought I'd clarify that in case anyone got squicked out at the thought of an 8 year old and a 14 year old suddenly crushing on each other.

Revan and The Exile are custom characters. Just take a third option.

You gotta start somewhere.

Like, the story starts with Qui-Gon Jinn the Jedi Knight and his squire Obi-Wan Kenobi going to High Garden to negotiate a peace summit because of a trade blockade. Later on they have to go to the free cities where they meet the young Anakin Sand, a prodigy chariot racer. When they take him to Kings Landing to become a Jedi Knight he gets to name his own house and chooses the title Skywalker. Also, R 2 D 2 is a dwarf.

So an ASOIAF AU! I've never read ASOIAF nor watched Go T, but it sounds pretty cool.

I think I'm gonna once again change the villain of my own fic xD Not the Yinchorri anymore, instead, droids. Not a massive galaxy-spanning group either, more like a sector or two's worth of planets run by droids, organics on them enslaved.

Behold, my crossover fic Tails of the Old Republic has again updated! grin

I had to split the chapter into two parts due to Deviant Art's length limits, but the new uploads can be found here:

Chapter 50: The Getaway

Chapter 51: Apocalypse

Holy cow. I'm actually done with the whole Taris arc. What a tumultuous six years it's been since chapter one was released back in January 2010!

I'll upload these chapters to Fan Fiction Dot Net in the next day or two.

... Huh, I actually expected more activity in this thread in the last 2-1/2 months since I last updated.

Had an idea for a new canon universe fanfic where the New Republic stumbles upon a trove of carbon-frozen Jedi from three hundred years before the Phantom Menace in the aftermath of a border skirmish with the Empire. Because of the battle, the power supply keeping the Jedi alive malfunctions, causing the computer mainframe to triage supplies until only one Jedi Knight remained alive. It would be a story about how much has changed in the Galaxy, about what it's like to be a Living Relic.

The backstory of the Jedi, who I've named Corwin Vance, is that he was the stereotypical rich boy. His father was Supreme Chancellor, his mother was a doctor, and his family was ultra-Blue Blood Corellian elites, involved in the navy, in ship manufacturing, in trade, and he had it made. He doesn't even have to be a Jedi Knight, as the opportunities for him are endless. He's basically JFK, Jr. IN SPACE! He falls in love with a woman, and instead of bottling it up like Anakin, he goes straight to Master Yoda, and confesses. Yoda and the Council commend him for his honesty, but regret that he will have to leave. However, they have one last task for him, and if he completes it, they will allow him to leave the Jedi Order of his own accord, keep his lightsaber, and add his name to the Jedi who later became known as the Lost Twenty.

His assignment is to befriend the Jedi Master Leor Hal, whose followers have become a huge faction in the Jedi Order, a heretical one that believes that there is no Light Side or Dark Side, but rather only the hearts of living beings, and the good and evil that resides within. Yoda believes this to be a dangerous shift into moral relativism, and wants to know why Hal and two hundred Jedi Knights have retreated beyond the reach of the Republic. Fearing insurrection, the Jedi Council sends a maverick Jedi to befriend the Grey Jedi and infiltrate them, learn what they're about, and arrest Master Hal if possible.

Vance never gets the chance. When he reaches the planet they're hiding on, his ship is shot down and he is captured. Hal brings him into a massive underground base, where his faction has hidden away. He reveals that they are not insurrectionists; they are trying to preserve what they can of the Jedi Order because one of them has prophesied that the Jedi and the Republic would one day fall to the Sith, a prediction that runs counter to the Jedi dogma that a messiah would bring peace to the Galaxy and balance to the Force. Hal wanted Yoda to send the Chancellor's son into their grasp so that they could blackmail the Senate into surrendering power, so that the Jedi can form a theocratic government and root out the Sith in a galaxy-wide Inquisition. Corwin instead tries to warn Coruscant, and manages to send a kind of distress call through the Force. Hal decides that they should all undergo carbon-freezing, to hide themselves from Yoda's view. When the Sith conquer the Galaxy, they would rise and topple their Empire. Corwin is used as the guinea pig, to make sure the process is safe.

I've recently began reading a story where Anakin doesn't turn to the dark side, but instead of it being an "They all lived happily ever after" it tries to be a deep character study. It's called The Reason (AU Episode 3). Here's the link: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/11441329/30/The-Reason-AU-Episode-3

Hi!, I'm looking for a lost fanfic. I remember it was linked in here somewhere under Hollywood History or Demythification but cannot find it. It was written as a report explaining the Phantom Menace as if it was depicting a truly historical event and all the inaccuracies of the movie -like the trade federation was after a drug seeded on Naboo, Jar Jar was a partisan instead of a bumbling idiot-

Any idea what is it?

Don't really know.

Anyway, necro-ing this to ask something...

What sort of fleet do you think a mercenary group would have? I'm thinking of a Nebulon-B as the flagship and main base, with some C R90s, D P20s, a Gozanti or two, and a Quasar Fire, along with maybe some Munificent and Recusant-class ships. As for starfighters may be going with Skiprays and Z-95s.

The basic plot is that it's sort of a Jabiim-like scenario, where a mercenary group is contracted to help the legitimate government of a world fight against an uprising in a brutal civil war.

And also (because this is based off a picture I saw on Reddit), the merc leader is a Jedi that managed to survive Order 66, and has managed to survive to several years into the Dark Times.

Probably just the Nebulon, the CR ships, and the Z-95s. If it's a mercenary outfit, they're probably going to be using products of the Corellian Engineering Corporation — modular design, durable build, decent weaponry, and fast hyperdrives that punch above their class, and sold on the civilian market, which means that your average hired gun could buy it. Also, given Corellia's ubiquity in trade, probably really easy ships to find parts for. If they're a ragtag bunch, they're probably going to have a hodgepodge of equipment — they might even run into problems having Corellian-made parts grafted onto a ship from Rendili or Kuat, for example.

Sounds fair enough. Though what if instead of multiple C R90s there's only like, two or three, and then there's some GR-75s (for cargo and materiel, maybe one converted into a starfighter carrier) and maybe like one Gozanti, since Gallofree Yards stuff was cheap around the Dark Times and Gozantis are CEC and fairly cheap.

Idea: A fic set during TPM, centered on the Corellian government, which is basically a Fantasy Counterpart Culture of the Commonwealth of England, if it had survived to become a stable government.

The blockade by the Trade Federation has the Republic in a political crisis, which is felt even in local government. Corellia, a trading juggernaut with the most powerful navy in the Core Worlds, is especially vulnerable to Federation aggression on its borders, but also must contend with an economic recession and a wave of immigration caused by Outer Rim conflicts between the Hutts and the corporate fiefs. In Coronet City, there is a rising tide of right-wing populism, buoyed by Palpatine's reformist rhetoric. The establishment candidate, Emeric Vance, of the Corellian Republicans, and a scion of the family of the Corellian Commonwealth's founding fathers, is victorious against the Corellian Nationalist Party's Shyla Merricope, a devotee of Palpatine, by running on a platform of public investment, regulation of non-governmental trading conglomerates, and a more robust defense of Corellia's outer reaches. He is the youngest Lord Protector in Corellia's history, entering office at just age twenty-five.

But he also enters a Corellian Parliament fraught with divisions. The representatives of newly enfranchised colonies demanding renewed focus from Coronet City, nationalists angry at alien immigration, labor unions protesting the Trade Federation's negative impact on Corellian jobs, and militarists demanding a robust response to Federation aggression all compete for the resources his government commands. Meanwhile, he must secure Corellia's position in the Galactic Senate against the backdrop of a new administration and a Chancellor that Corellia did not support, one with a chameleon-like talent for being everything to everyone. In this, he is assisted by Corellia's representative to the Republic, his old university friend Garm Bel Iblis, and an up-and-coming officer in the Corellian Navy named Shoan Killian, who is eager to bring the fight to the Trade Federation and remind the Galaxy of Corellian prestige.

I posted this plot bunny 7 years ago on the force.net and it still needs a home.

"I was thinking about how Yoda and Grover from Sesame Street are both voiced by the same guy. R2-D2 and C-3PO have been on Sesame Street before, so...

Some time during the Prequel Trilogy, Yoda is replaced with Grover, who wishes to both help the Jedi and get back to Sesame Street. If he uses 'Near' and 'Far' as a demonstration for something that'd be cool. ^^ Bonus points if Grover's teachings actually help them."

So I have a couple of ideas but I'll start with one that will take me less time to write. I've been working on it off-and-on but am currently not writing it due to lack of interest. It's called The Final Justice and it deals with Boba Fett in the immediate aftermath of him escaping the Sarlacc Pit.

He feels humiliated, distressed, angry at himself for messing up, etc. but since Boba doesn't have any real friends he keeps it to himself and as the story would go on his psychological torment would build until he nearly goes insane. So he comes up with a plan to get rid of his inner pain by tracking down and killing Cad Bane from the Clone Wars, whom he sees as an abuser who made Boba the way he is.

Boba teams up with Bossk and Dengar, who are oblivious to his slipping sanity for a good portion of the story, and the three of them travel to a couple different planet where Cad Bane might be at. Thoughts?

TV Tropes is my sacred text, and someday I shall use it to conquer the world!
