Didn't see a thread, so I made one.

Starts October 10th.

Take your bets on how long it will take them to cancel it. Probably won't even get a full season.

What makes you say that?

We had a Batman knockoff tv show last year. That didn't get a full season either.

Plus, it actually looks like it will be interesting, which means there's no chance it will last.

You mean like that other CW produced superhero show that lasted ten seasons?

The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.

Big difference between Superman and a Batman knockoff.

I'd say Green Arrow has evolved into his own distinct character. Besides this show seems to be trying to distance him from Batman by having him actually kill his opponents, extort money from corrupt businessmen, etc.

The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.

I hope this will end up being a good show.

I saw the pilot at Comic-Con. It was not very good. At all. I found myself wishing that I were attending the Game of Thrones panel instead.

Looks interesting for the most part and I (not bragging at ALL) made the page for it: Arrow.

My main interest is in how long it takes before Ollie racks up a larger kill count than the Thomas Jane Punisher, what with him being apparently quite murder-tastic in this version. . .

Strangely, in the pilot when the big bad businessman is talking some other dudes after Ollie threatens him, it's mentioned that the goons he puts down are just in the hospital. And I just found myself thinking, "really? After showing the guy making an effort to kill those other dudes to protect his secret identity? Backpedalling much?"

Tommy becomes a bad guy? Is he the comic relief dude that made the Twilight joke?

[up] His last name in the show is Merlyn a well known Green Arrow villain from the comics.

I don't know if it was him who made the twilight joke. No posts mention his name with the joke but its probably him.

Okay, except for oone minor thing, namely that stupid arrow in the bad guys wall that nobody noticed was blinking! I liked it good gritty action, interesting that his sidekick will apparently be his sister.

And whathefuck was Deathstrokes mask doing on a stick on that island?!?

[up] Apparently Deathstroke may have been on that island with Oliver. How exactly they encountered each other or how they interacted will obviously be revealed in time.

As I'm aware the pilot premiered recently. I know we're getting the show in Aus soon. Just when? Is what I don't know.

I just can't wait for this inevitable exchange:

Laurel: You always have all the answers, Arrow! Well, what's your answer to that—?

Oliver: My sister is a JUNKIE!

The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.

Saw the pilot. Thoughts:

It was OK. The first half seemed really rushed. The show was scrambling to get all the necessary exposition out of the way, so the scenes felt like they were too short, and the narrative felt kind of disjointed. The second half was better, as it could concentrate on telling the story, and I really like the action scenes.

At the moment, it looks like this show could end up either great or mediocre. I'll give it a few more episodes.

Also, it's nice to see that Harry Dresden has become a legit detective. tongue

I didn't expect that I'd get to see Green Arrow fight Kano. I liked it, and I'm interested in finding out more about Deathstroke's involvement.

[up]Sadly, we'll never see the only thing better than that, Green Arrow fighting Kano.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great
