I don't know what did it, but it's working now.
"Jack, you have debauched my sloth."Ok so I'm trying to find VMMV tabs to put Batman: The Killing Joke in but I can't seem to find any of them. The how to index, doesn't show me where they are.
YMMV pages aren't indexed, since they're just a subtype of tropes attached to a parent article.
Ah, that's a relief. I thought as much when I couldn't find a single tab but I'm glad I made sure.
Alright, I'm stuck. I created The Party Incidentand Other Embarrassing Anecdotes, which (as you can see) had incorrect capitalization. I indexed it anyway at FanFic/VideoGames, under the correct name of The Party Incident and Other Embarrassing Anecdotes so that I wouldn't have to fix it later after I figured out how to get the correct title. It didn't show up on the work page, but I figured it was the capitalization thing (though this may have been because indexing was off).
Page was cut and reposted. I turned on indexing, I did a blank edit on the index page, and I did a hard refresh on the work page. It's still not working, and I'm out of ideas.
It's fixed now. The index wasn't turned on. How exactly did you try to turn it on?

I clicked the checkbox for "does indexing" on the page where you change the "page type." I see now that this was the wrong thing to do. My bad, I should have read the entire page instead of just going, "yep, it's a work, no need to read the rest." I've unchecked that now.
For future reference, how do I turn indexing on? Unless I've misread it (entirely possible), I can't find anything on How Indexing Works.

Go down to Page Info -> Page Type -> click [edit] -> make sure the "does indexing" box is checked. Furthermore, unless you're making a pure index, you should always use [index][/index] tags to confine your index to the items you intend to index.
I tried recently to do an CMoA index and it didn't work. Am I supposed to go to the "Index Index" page, click on Awesome through there, go to the media I want and then add the index? I just went to the Awesome page itself, clicked on the media and then added the page that way.
I can't deal with these forums; they anger up the blood too much.Next time do a null edit to the index page after creating your article. It forces the index to update. Your page is now properly indexed.
I'm trying to index the fanfic "Wearing Robert's Crown":
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/WearingRobertsCrown
...But even though I put it up on the Fanfic/Literature index, it's still saying that it needs to be indexed. Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong here? Thanks.
The Literature page didn't have indexing switched on. Seems to work now.
(Annoyed grunt)Thanks.
The index editing page mentions a toolbar on the right side of the screen, but I don't see it. Can someone please tell me how I can find it?
If you're editing from a phone, you won't see it. Otherwise, it's on the right, under Page Info.
Hi, when indexing a series, how do you keep tropes out?
Add [[index]] and [[/index]] around the parts that you want to be part of the index.
I am very, very confused about how to index a TV show recap page. Can anyone please give me any tips on how to do that?
TV Fan Girl 551If it's for an episode of a show, put a link to the recap page on the show's Recap/ page. For example, Recap.Family Guy S 1 E 1 Death Has A Shadow can be found on Recap.Family Guy.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Hello,
I tried to index Video Game Gladiator Begins, and it only shows up when I am logged in, but logged out the index does not show, and I believe it has been more then 24 hours since the edit. Is there something wrong with my Index?
Nope; non-logged in users just don't get to see the most updated version of the site right away.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI made this mistake. I was hoping someone can help me. I accidentally indexed the list of stories on my sandbox page. I took out the index and even those stories, and they're still linked. Does anyone know how to get rid of the links because I don't want those stories connected to my sandbox page?
Tricks. Recreating the index list, with the sandbox itself as the only page, removes the indexing from other pages. Then I remove the index tags, and go over to the PAGE INFO section (only on desktop) to click EDIT for Page Type. Clicking on the save button clears the index.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Thank you.
Hi, I need help. I'm trying to add an index page to my Beast of Fairy Tail character page. I have the link right here.

I just don't know how to make the index appear on the bottom.
I've tried indexing a fanfic page I created called The Totally Amazing Spider-Man on the crossover section. I put it right on the crossover fanfic index, and it didn't work.
