I thought they pulled it off rather well. That whole series was actually great. It made me see Cable as more than every 90s cliche rolled into one. And it's my second favorite Deadpool run, just behind Joe Kelly's work with the character.

Cable was actually the leader of two countries. He founded and was basically the leader of Providence, though since it was intended as a utopia there was technically no real government. And he was also leader of Rumekistan for a little while.

I was never big on Thor (I prefer Greek to Norse myth :P) but when did Loki become a child?

post Siege. Loki died fighting the sentry attempting a Heel–Face Turn(Or rather a "didn't think it would get such out of control"?). As he was no longer in Hel's Books he reincarnated as Kid Loki and was found by Thor. There is more to it, but thats all i know.

That being said, i like Kid Loki, and hope they keep him around for a bit.

Interesting. I stumbled across Kid Loki in the Loki tag on tumblr, but I have to say he is kind of super adorable. :P Since it looks like the Avenger's movie got me back into comics I might have to go read up on him.

Kid Loki is awesomesauce. He's hilarious. He has no powers, and since he's a kid, he doesn't even know how to fight. so he has to solve his problems through guile alone. And, man, does he ever use guile. He guiles shit up all over the place. You're never completely sure what he's planning, but you always know it's going to be insane and awesome.

He's honestly one of the best characters out there right now, and Journey Into Mystery is easily in Marvel's top 3 books. Easily. It's ridiculously good.

I'm now dreading the inevitable return of Loki to villainy. Damn you, status quo.

According to the Marvel Wiki, evil, older, Loki is still around, Kid Loki turned him into a crow named Ikol. So, all it may take to restore Status Quo will be Ikol getting free.

EDIT:Er...The clarify, an echo of all of Loki's past evil and bitterness, yada yada yada, apparently appeared to him and tried to get him to turn down a dark road and Loki was all "lolol nope" and turned the projection of his evil into a crow that he bound as his minion. How he did this apparently without powers is beyond me.

Ikol is a nice touch. It's always funny when he refers to it as "evil me."

I do hope that Kid Loki stays around. The best thing Marvel could do would be to have Ikol somehow turn back into Adult Loki, while Kid Loki is still running around trying to be a hero.

So, erm, what was the final word on what, exactly, The Sentry was? I'd heard "Aspect of God", "Druggie High On God", and some other really crazy theories.

This man confuses me.

The Sentry is easy: A meth addict who ingested a form of the Super-Soldier serum, imbuing him with immense power.

The Void is the part that makes no sense.

[up] The Void is strongly implied to be Death... except Marvel already has one of those!

Maybe Void is a literal manifestation of evil itself, as in the very idea of the act of doing evil unto others, manifesting through Bob's craziness together with his immense power.

So apparently Spider-Man 700 is going to be huge. Like, super huge. Like other people's books are going to change drastically because of what happens in this.

Remember! Hyperbole is an exaggeration made for comedic effect, and shouldn't be taken literally!

[up][up]Yes it did I was being sarcastic. And yeah Miles is 12. Although I wouldnt mind him replacing 616 Pete if he died. At least itd get him out of that crapsack world.

This didn't seem like it belonged in the Trope Repair Shop, but Comicbook.Spider-Man badly needs an update; it says Spidey's "newest" arc was One More Day! XP

I'm afraid I have some bad news. Our pilot episode has been canceled In the October solicits, it says Uncanny X-Men, New Mutants, X-Men Legacy, Fantastic Four, FF, and Captain America are having their final issues. sad The Mighty Thor is ending, too, but it's Fraction, so who cares?

On the plus side, they're resurrecting [REDACTED], and the football game between the Avengers Academy and Jean Grey School is actually getting an issue devoted to it. waii

And on the "we'll wait and see how this pans out" side, they're giving Thanos a miniseries and bringing back Hypno-Hustler.

While new Mutants is definitely cancelled, the rest may or may not be. Hickman's leaving Fantastic Four and FF, and while FF may be cancelled, I really can't see them actually ending Fantastic Four. I think Fraction's leaving Iron Man, but it'll probably continue. Brubaker's leaving Captain America, but since he's also got his team-up book, we'll have to wait and see what they do with his solo. Mighty Thor, I suspect, will probably continue on with a new writer.

The one that bothers me most to see listed is Uncanny X-Men. There are two possibilities, and both of them are awful. Either the book is being flat-out replaced with Uncanny Avengers, or else UXM will continue but Gillen won't be writing it any more. Either way, it sucks. Uncanny X-Men is better now than at any point in the past 20 years, so it sucks that the indications are that the writer responsible for it being so good is going to be leaving it.

I'm also concerned about Legacy. It's probably at a greater risk of being replaced by Uncanny Avengers than UXM is. I wonder if Gage will get a new book. I hope so. Maybe something with a higher profile, to start grooming him to be one of the future architects.

I'm also happy that we're finally getting the football game. That'll be a ton of fun.
