Okay I am seeing it, Zdarsky really is shitting on Damian to play up to Tim.

It’s very notable how Damian is an easily portrayed dupe beholden to his violent desires, while Tim is portrayed as an all around saint that always comes to save Bats.

This really is a Tim shill-piece.

Honestly, it's very hard to tell who is being shilled in this run aside from Joker. Pretty nobody is coming out looking good.

But Damian’s book isn’t shitting on Tim.

Tim’s appearances meanwhile gotta shit on everyone to make himself look better. When Bruce was in the cabin he didn’t even think of Jason or Damian, purely how great Dick and Tim are.

There’s a deliberate contrast here that when Damian says Batman and Robin it means violence but when Tim says it he empathizes family clearly framing him as all around superior.

well...he is. I like damian but hes a hot headed brat who blindly thinks only his way is any good and it takes forever for him to change his mind, kinda like his dad.

Bruce usually isn't hot headed. If anything he is too cold.

So it's still a different kind of stubborness than Damian's.

It's funny cause there is probably nostalgia influence at play here.

Damian is currently the more successful Robin yet they shating him to prop up Tim whose recent pushes have all been failures.

Feels like Zdarsky is a huge Tim fanboy and doesn't like Damian which is why Damian is the only member of Batfam to be fooled by Zur.

And the Damian shitting isn't new since we know for the last several years Didio was planning to turn Damian into a full villain for 5G, which explains stuff like him creating his own prison in Titans and Bendis' Legion comic referring to him as "baby Hitler".

tims last push before this was bendis where he was code named drake. tim is the only one of the robins who currently does not have a book, even if jasons is a mini.

I thought Tim's last push was in his book by Meghan Fitzsimmons...but then that had to have ended ages ago, so whatever.

Oh hey, what happened to Bernard? Anything going on with him? Guy seems to have fallen under the radar...

Oh right. That was so nothing I memory holed it and presumably tim and him are still dating but they just get dragged out once a year during pride to be token couple and then ignored.

Like, I’ve seen some of him here and there, but his whole deal confuses me.

An Android built by a dude named T.O. Morrow that can copies the abilities of super humans.

It's often a Justice League Level threat because it ends up copying all their powers.

So Superman, Wonder-Woman, Martian Manhunter, Flash, etc.

If your familiar with Marvel he's the equivalent to the Super-Adaptoid.

Power-copying robots.

Amazo is an android built by Professor Ivo as a weapon and tool of seeking immortality. His gimmick is that he's designed to study and imitate the beings he fights, translating to him copying the powers of any supers sent after him as well as steadily upgrading and improving himself as he goes. There are also a number of other Amazo units, some made by Ivo himself, others by people imitating his work. The nature of their abilities make them some of the Justice League's more dangerous enemies and even a single Amazo unit can be a huge threat if it gets far enough along.

So Zur and by extension Batman have the capabilities to make multiple of them? Doesn't he usually rely on Lucius to make some of the more advanced shit? Granted, I guess this was all foreshadowed by Zu being able to create Failsafe.

Morrow is Red Tornado's creator, Amazo's is Professor Ivo, as mentioned .

Granted, I also faintly remember Professor Ivo now. I think he was from the League cartoon.

Yeah, AMAZO is a blind spot for me because he's mostly a League villain and I prefer to stay in the Batman/Superman corner of the DC verse with some exceptions.

Amazo did appear in World's Finest recently. Him and Ivo got brainwashed by an even stronger Amazo, it was a whole arc.

I missed that.

Future State confused the issue, I imagine, by putting Morrow and Amazo on the same team...Amaz-X or whatever, but we all knew what that really was.

I think the main difference is that Ivo was originally something of a misunderstood or tragic figure while Morrow was originally a "kill the Justice Society because I can! Now what? Kill the Justice League too! What next? Destroy both Earths because I'm bored." villain. The exact opposite of an Immortality Seeker. Again, I think it was Post Crisis that confused the issue by making Morrow a Well-Intentioned Extremist who had a friendly relationship with Wonder Woman, wanting her and her team dead for impersonal reasons. That in itself might have been an attempt to distinguish Morrow from Lex Luthor, if I had to guess.

Ah yes they've kinda swapped characterisations as time went on. With Ivo the more evil one and Morrow the more stylish, affable Noble Demon

Hope they aren't getting into dangerous situations dressed like they're going to a masquerade ball. No armor protection of vital organs. At least two only have skin and ribcage protecting their heart. Why yes, I think those outfits are very impractical. Pretty sure they aren't Immune to Bullets . Oh, fashion variant? Would be neat if they did go to a gala like that.
