This thread deals with all issues concerning the icons used for namespaces and their buttons, including proposals for icons for new namespaces and bugs with existing icons.
When submitting an icon, the icon images should be exactly 16x16 png with a transparent background. A gif can also be used, but png is usually better. Also, the naming convention is important. It should be the namespace in lowercase.
I am compiling a list of namespaces that need icons, and icons for those name spaces. This would be preferred to be done quickly because I've convinced Eddie to hook them up when I get them complied. I will be editing the OP as we go.
NOTE: Use the link to the sandbox in the thread title to see what still needs to be decided on.
Subpages that still need icons:
- Animation/
- FanWorks/
- Manhua/
- Sandbox/
- Timeline/
Subpages that already have icons hooked up (please note, this list has been collapsed into a note, so that the floating header post isn't huge)
Links to installation-ready icons here and forward.

, Yeah, unfortunately on my laptop that's really difficult to make out.
Attempts were made.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAll of those are still pretty tiny, but the third is absolutely the best.

back lolI like the third one.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectIf I understand it right, the icons display up to 17×19 when empty space is excluded. If empty space is included then they go up to 18×21 (technically 20×21 for Radio, but anything wider than 18×21 overflows the actual icon image).
- bundle.css displays from 10×21 pixels (Tear Jerker) to 20×21 pixels (Radio), seemingly at half size. No width limit here.
- namespace_sprite.png◊ has icons with around 36×80 of space.
- Icons can go up to 36×42 (18×21) before reaching a limit.
- The current icons go up to 34×38 (about 17×19) excluding empty or unused space.
Well, the pinned post needs to be updated if that's the case.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupHonestly, couldn't a square with 3 dots just work for VisualNovel/?

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI'm not much of an artist, so are we allowed to just use one of them or at least follow a design closely?
I have heard that there was a troper who is an icon artist here though.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectAre you referring Moefoxes?
They said that they'd be down to draw new Namespace Icons.
Currently Reading: N/AYes. I think we could ask them to draw a circus-like platform.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectBesides a math derivative symbol, are there any other ideas for a Derivative Works/ icon?

Holy crap, that's actually perfect
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectSomething like this could work for Derivative Works/ based on your suggestion:

Using the recycle symbol for Derivative Works is very clever.
Honestly this suggestion for Visual Novel/ is really good:

It's easier to see on normal vision, but at least it's not one of the ones that turns invisible on night vision lol
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessFor Art/, an art pallette seems pretty obvious

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectDo any of the suggestions in Namespace Icons have clear consensus are ready for installation yet?

Hm it's hard to see anything unless I zoom in on mobile, and I guess on desktop it would be even harder.
OBJECTION!
