Now that Viacom has aquired Garfield, the official Garfield site has been merged with Nick.com.
Which means that all links to various Garfield comics on the trope pages are no longer working. The comics have to be accessed on gocomics.
So, the links have to be updated like this:
https://garfield.com/comic/2011/04/09 -> https://www.gocomics.com/garfield/2011/04/09
Can a bot do that, or does it have to be done manually? Over 2000 trope pages have examples from the Garfield comics, so that's a lot of links to fix.

"Garfield" is very good too though, and I even like "US Acres".

Okay, here's something funny.
"Garfield Thrown Out The Window"
I think this is funnier than "Garfield Minus Garfield".
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI always thought the edits where Garfield doesn't 'speak' were the best since they actually show how's Jon really like.
Why did Davis take issue with those but not Garfield minus Garfield? Did they hit too close to heart?
Have we ever met Garfield's dad, either in the strip or on one of the animated cartoons? We've seen his mom in flashbacks, but never his dad.
No, but we have seen his grandfather. Or maybe both of them.

Is there another Garfield thread, or is this the only one? Anyway, we're getting an animated theatrical movie starring Chris Pratt.

Man, Chris Pratt is getting those voiced roles.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Concept art for the upcoming animated film has surfaced online. Locals and character designs for Garf, Odie, Jon, a redesigned Liz, Doc Boy and possibly Garfield's original father being being separated.
Aaaaaand they're gone.
Trans rights are human rights.Did anyone save those images?
Anyway, pretty cool video I came across on Youtube. A brief behind-the-scenes look at the 1982 special "Here Comes Garfield". Contains 3 highlights: 1. Footage of Lorenzo Music speaking on-camera (he rarely allowed to be publicly seen).
2. Bill Melendez talking about what's it like to animate Garfield
3. Songwriter and voice of Nermal, Desiree Goyette doing dance reference footage for Garfield's opening dance number.
The CG Garfield movie's trailer is dropping, ironically enough, tomorrow!
I admit, Odie having green eyes looks weird, but look how fluffy Garfield is! He's so FLUFFY!
I have a draft ready to go. I’ll post once the trailer is up.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. On a Monday. Garfield will need some extra luck.
Wake me up at your own risk.Chris Pratt is voicing every main character in animated movies based off brands...
The trailer was funny. Here's hoping for the best.
The weird thing to me is, since they're doing this one as an animated movie, they could completely emulate the visual style of the strip, but instead they're going with a visual style that's almost the style of the strip, but not quite.
Every time this thread updates I'm scared the comic is ending or Jim Davis has passed away.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I found a neat video about the worst Garfield video game, Garfield 2004, and the video maker's efforts to fix its problems while staying true to the original intent, which was actually a pretty neat gameplay loop.
Huge news: Viacom has acquired all rights to Garfield. This includes its sister franchise U.S. Acres and all related content (sans the Fox movies, which are with Disney). A new animated series is now in development for Nickelodeon.
As for Davis, he will continue to do the daily comic strip.
