Actually, after you finish the route, try to aim for the bad ends in the route. The Tiger Dojos tend to be entertaining. IIRC, Fate has 14, UBW has 10 and HF has 16. If nothing else, you should aim to get Bad End 38: Sparks Liner High in Heaven's Feel just because it is an awesome scene.

I guess I should get moving on replaying the entire VN so I can have my saves and soundtrack again. Why did my laptop have to die on me?

Actually, I was kinda planning on going for the Bad Ends first.

I did that myself. Made my saves file system easier to manage. All 290 saves. Because FSN does not have an archive, Saves=Bookmarks.

At least the system is far better than that of Tsukihime, which just gave you only 20 unlabeled save slots with the previously viewed scene skip feature not being kind enough to even give a scene name to the scene that you are skipping.

Okay, I've gotten Bad End #1 and I'm shooting towards #2, now on the Fate Route. Also, I Knew It!! Okay, only partly, since he was a Master for part of the last HGW, but still! Also, glad to see that he's more of a True Neutral Aloof Ally than the Lawful Evil Sinister Minister I was expecting.

Bad End #2 completed! I am now <goes back and checks> at Bedtime Of The Fourth Day, after Rin arbitrarily decided that she's gonna crash at my place.

tongue Let's just say that there's a reason why Fate Hollow Ataraxia's Road Cone setting has the Emiya home bestricken with Pretty Freeloaders.

Say, I just had a crazy thought - Unlimited Drill Works, if Archer were actually Heroic Spirit Simon the Digger.

It's just a thought, I already know that Archer's Heroic Spirit Shiro Emiya.

Bah. Simon doesn't no silly "unlimited supply of drills of all shapes and sizes". He only needs his one drill. cool

"My drill is the drill that will pierce the heavens! GIGA! DRILL! BREAKER!"

I had some sort of connection recently that made me think of Unlimited Blade Works when I remembered Ichigo's Bankai training scene in Bleach. It kind of fits, really, though the former is a lot less limited.

[up][up]Actually, I was thinking about that point in the Grand Finale where the TTGL is Dual Wielding Giga Drill Breaks against the Anti-Spiral, and with each strike a drill breaks, only for that arm to have become another drill an instant later.

I haven't seen either of the movies, but of course, I do know about Simon forming a drill made out of blood for his own arm. Where would you suggest I go to get to the movies?

Check Iso Hunt's torrent-search engine; that's where I got my torrent link for Lagann-hen. Suffice to say, Gainax had managed to do the previously-thought-to-be-impossible feat of dialing Up To Eleven Gurren Lagann's own dialled Up To Eleven Crazy Awesome; the final fight gives a CMOA to each and every member of Team Dai-Gurren, plus takes the battle on a different track after Infinity Big Bang Storm, with an especially very welcome surprise. cool

And no, I wasn't talking about that drill. I'm talking about a much more awesome drill that is one of the additions in Lagann-hen.

Saber Alter wins. Nightmare has no castle-demolishing Wave Motion Sword, AFAIK.

I'd give it to Alter if she is under Dark Sakura because of the theoretically infinite Excaliblasts.

Then she'll most probably lose due to attrition, but not before taking down most of them with her. In fact, I'd say that the only Link that would standing would be Onigami/Fierce Deity-mode Link.

While Fierce Deity Link would probably be the last one standing, I think that the last Link to fall would likely be The Hero of Time.

Currently on the Fate route, now up to Dawn of the Seventh Day.

REALLY random fic idea: The Types attack earth early. To retaliate, Heaven's Feel is rebuilt as a weapon system.

Really, I'm looking for and planning to write a fic where the Heaven's Feel system becomes rebuilt as weapons system (for bonus points, fueled by captured Dead Apostles), since endless repetition of the Holy Grail War scenario(s) gets pretty boring.

How on earth would captured dead apostles be efficient as a fuel system? Normal humans work better and are easier to get your hands on.

And if you do this idea, I want to see the DAA's be relevant.

Well, they're powerful beings. There's gotta be a way to siphon that out, once they've been ground up...

Don't really care much for the DAA, but I'll see...

Really, has ANYONE done a fic weaponizing Heaven's Feel to summon super-soldiers to fight for them?

Well, they're powerful beings. There's gotta be a way to siphon that out, once they've been ground up...

And then you've got the 27 (not really 27 members) DAAS and all their followers on your ass, while you can use humans for similar effect and less struggle.

As for the DAAS, what's wrong with them as characters?

And I don't recall any fics weaponising Heaven's eel.

You'd think at least one person would try it in Space Battles, given all the other stuff they've weaponized and played too seriosuly. I have no serious beef with the DA and DAA except I haven't really played their game (so i don't dare right htem except for Arcueid, and even that is mostly Carnival Phantasm, things gleamed from gag manga and stuff), and to be quite honest, they terrify me. Planningto read the manga version of Tsukihime and Melty Blood at some point to correct this, but currently have more yuri manga to read first...
