Even though we have only five pages worth of threads in the Literature subforum, it still gets confusing. Here is a simple directory. Please post the name and links of thread here, and I will update the directory accordingly.

This will eventually be merged with the main Thread Index.

General Threads:
Threads specific to an Author:
Threads specific to a Book:
Threads specific to a Series:
Please format new links to the first page of each thread like this:

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=r4g3mjmgihrdbxb8b7ijqulr Chatterbox: Literature Edition

  • Ignore the &page=0#=1 bit in the URL, that just shows the page and post number; Also, don't copy the word "Literature" before the name of every thread, that just signifies the subforum it belongs to.
  • A small description of what the thread does would be nice, but not necessarily required.

I zapped that complaint thread. It had already bred, so I got its offspring, too. We don't want complaint threads.

[up]YAY! Finally someone contributed.grin

But just to clarify, you should submit your submissions in the following form:

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13352875330A17825300 Getting into Lovecraft

(Use escape sequence tags around the URL, and quoteblock tags around the whole submission)

It makes it easier to upload on to the database, than a direct URL.

Also, nice touch with the "Author Specific" clarification.

Dang... you must have started this after I gave up on it. I know I haven't updated the anime/manga one in forever.

I would suggest giving it another go, but I don't think I'm willing to put that much effort into it at this time.

[up]I have not given up, or I wouldn't have decided to become Literature herald in the first place. I am just busy with studies, I will continue updating it by myself when I get the time (maybe after session exams in December...).

However, others are more than welcome to participate.

Well, here I go: The Bartimaeus Trilogy

For some reason I'm really freaked at posting this. I just keep thinking: Somebody musta posted this already... When I've already searched the forum titles and looked through the Directory.

[up]Well, I didn't make the first, but it seems like it might be nice to have a discussion thread about LGBT fiction, similar to the one we have for YA fiction.

(Speaking of the YA thread, you don't seem to have it yet)

https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13298682060A01240100 YA Fiction: A Vast Teenage Wasteland

As for the second, I did make that thread, and I hope this helps it get a little more attention, so thanks. :)

[up]Updated. Also, that thread is still accessable, it has merely been shifted to a more appropriate subforum.

The Recommendations thread should be in the directory, regardless of its location. Because people ask for recommendations here.

I have a question to pose to anyone who has read a particular book, about a detail of the plot that I can't recall. Would this be the right subforum for that? I ask because I'm not really interested in starting a full discussion thread, and the book is obscure, so I doubt such a thread would really thrive.
