Keep following the rules and report posters who abuse them with the Holler button. That's about it. Thanks, by the way!
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Ok, will do. I considered leaving and almost did, but I figured that would just make things worse, yaknow?
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Have things really gotten bad recently, though? I've been on this forum for over a year now, and now that I think about it, I think I've been seeing people saying that the entire time.
Not trying to make it sound like you shouldn't help, or to say you shouldn't do what Fighteer said. I'm just wondering if things are as bad as people seem to think.

Infinite Tree: an experimental storySeem to be a lot of bans, nastiness recently.
The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well. But a lot of the bans I've seen lately were for people I had filed in the category of "how the hell have they not been banned yet?"
Not invariably the case, but I've seen a lot of them of late.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyTrue, but a few seemed to be people who seemed to do good, at least most of the time.
The analogy that comes to mind is Dolphins trapped in tuna nets.
Though a banned troper derail was not what I had in mind for this thread.

The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Dolphins are absurdly violent and cruel to each other, but I see your point nonetheless.
Yeah, sorry for the derail. I was just wondering.

Infinite Tree: an experimental storyI don't think you are sorry about the derail, I think you did it on porpoise.

The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well.Right, getting things back on track, I would like to say that it's good to help out whether or not things are getting worse, getting better, or whatever, so it's good to see someone offering to.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyOne thing is that when I holler it seems that thumps and locks always happen after the situation is well over.

The 5 geek social fallacies. Know them well. They often do, sometimes because the Holler is about a post that may be a page or two (or much further than that) back from the end of the thread. Sometimes that's because we didn't see it earlier; other times it's clearly (going by timestamps) because it wasn't Hollered about while it was happening.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
I've been a forum regular for about a year now, and it seems that things have been getting kinda bad recently.
I want to help, and I've done the best I can to stay positive and follow the rules.
What else can I do?
