Not to sound bitter, but I did it first, like six years ago:
Rumor: A Broadway journalist has heard that the American Idiot movie has been picked up by HBO.
It's definitely long-overdue. I'd love to see it be real.

Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.oh yeah i forgot they were doing that since I'm pretty sure they literally announced it when I was in high school and now it's been a year since I graduated from college
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Green Day's new single, "Bang Bang", gets released tomorrow.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page."Bang Bang" has been released!
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Copying from what I posted on my Facebook:
The production is way too harsh on the ears, could've toned down the loudness a bit so that it wasn't still blasting in my ears at the lowest possible volume, but musically it's fun—I especially love the bridge, very cool, if something that's been done before.
Lyrically, well, I get what they were going for, but it probably could've used another couple of drafts, because it's a bit weak, too many cliches. Doesn't quite get the point across as well as it could've. I kinda enjoyed how they seemed to be leaning on some classic punk music in them (one of the lines in particular struck me as an intentional homage to Bad Religion).
Still, overall, it's just okay. Kinda reminds me of when "Oh Love" was released as the lead single off their Counting Trilogy (as I will always call it) when it was one of the more underwhelming tracks from those albums. In other words, I'm looking forward to their followup single being way better

I personally like the harsh production. I love how it's got the energy that was mostly missing from Uno, Dos, Tré (save for "Let Yourself Go", which is my favorite GD song).
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I suppose I don't necessarily mean harsh production so much as I mean bad mastering.
Like, you can make a song sound harsh without actually making it difficult to listen to. Listener fatigue is a thing.
and, I mean, "Let Yourself Go" is an alright, fun song, but your favorite? I gotta wonder what your other experience with the band is, in that case. Not even meaning this in a condescending way, I am legitimately curious.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here."Jesus of Suburbia" and "F.O.D." are probably my two favorites.
"If you spend all your heart / On something that has died / You are not alive and that can't be a life"Well, I've listened to all their albums except their first two (which I seriously need to do sometime). But I just like "Let Yourself Go" because it's very straight to the point about "shut the fuck up." The lyric video makes a great forum weapon.

Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.More new Green Day, this time showcasing "Still Breathing:"
Just confirmed: the American Idiot movie being produced by HBO is real, and Billie Joe will play St. Jimmy.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.I mean we pretty much knew it was real, it's just been in development hell for like 6 or 7 years I'm pretty sure.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.So Revolution Radio's been out for about a week now. Anyone manage to listen to the whole thing?
Here's a funny thing about "American Idiot."
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. That's, not funny, that's despairing.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. That's awesome.
because it has a common and kind of generic chord progression, simple
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Bumping as it's the 25th anniversary of Dookie. Here's a video discussing the album (complete with LOTS of juvenile jokes referring to the name of the album)
New single:
21st Century Breakdown is one of my favorite albums, and probably my favorite by this band. You can't really get a full idea of what the album's like from just the singles, though. (I still don't know why they released Last of the American Girls as a single as opposed to Viva la Gloria.)
The story of the album can get a little bit muddled sometimes, but I still think it's pretty good. 21 Guns actually grew on me a little after I heard it in the context of the album as opposed to as a single.
