(General thread meant to persist after this request has been fulfilled. Basically, post whatever you can remember about the song and other tropers help you find the title so you can look it up and listen to it.)

I'm having trouble remembering the specifics of a song I heard on the radio once. It's classic rock of some sort, and part of it goes "Since you've been gone, since you've been gone, I'm out of my head, can't take it."

Help?

My name is Cu Chulainn. Beside the raging sea I am left to moan. Sorrow I am, for I brought down my only son.

I found this song on Youtube and decided to use it as the menu song of a Civilization IV mod... except I forgot the title. Any help? I remember it's from a video game soundtrack.

So at this point I'm sure that my college's radio station plays the same freakin' automated playlist every Sunday night, which is really starting to drive me nuts because I actually like a song I've now heard twice. Songmeanings.net, my trusty search-place, has failed to turn up results when I searched all the lyrics I could remember. I really want to know what it is, it kind of isn't fair that I should be doomed not to know.

The chorus is, as far as I know (meaning some words might be wrong):

"Remember me/for this and more. Remember me,/what else am I good for? Remember me,/and forget her..." I would think someone would recognize it purely by this if they knew it, but to clarify some things...

  • "for this and more" and "forget her" are the parts I'm a little uncertain about, the actual lyrics there may be something else.

  • "Remember me" sounds exactly the same all three times, but...

  • "for this and more" is at a normal pace in the general scheme of things, but "What else am I good for?" is sung comparatively faster or rushed. And the "her" at the end is held a bit, basically the only word held for longer in the chorus.

The song also features the words "relentless occupation" multiple times. It's part of the lead-in to the chorus I think.

Guess I'll throw this out there again then?

I eventually found track #1, it's "Denim And Diamonds Forever" by Those Peabodys. The rest I haven't found though, and googling lyrics is of no help.

Here's a poser: I'm trying to remember an old alt (?) rock song from the early to mid '00s. All I remember is a vague lyric about being in a "cold Septermber/November" and the music video is shot in all grays and features a man walking thru a city in the middle of the fall thinking about a girl before falling. Any help?

[up]It's a little bit older (1996) and there's no one falling at the end, but maybe Counting Crows - A Long December?

Dunno if you guys can help, but I'm sure I remember a song with a vocal part similar to the background song of this:

[up][up]No, sorry. I'll just keep my ears open if I hear it again.

I'm trying to find a song that I remember hearing a long time ago, I have a snippet of the song, but I don't know the artist or the name. The snippet seems to be some sort of cut-off segment as it cuts in and abruptly fades out. Here's the segment that I currently have, if anyone could lead me in the right direction on this it would be greatly appreciated. https://vocaroo.com/i/s1ThuWisY2Uf

Sorry, dude, Soundhound turned up nothing.

It's one thing to make a spectacle. It's another to make a difference.

Hey, there is a music finding thread. I was pretty sure the "What's That Show" bit on the site wasn't for music, so I was hoping...

Anywho, sorry if this is not enough clues, but a song popped into my head and I'm going nuts trying to remember it: it's a pop song that was really popular like ten years ago or so, the name of the group was Father Son or Father Brother or something like that, and I remember the sound of it but not any of the lyrics beyond there being an "all together now!" somewhere in there.

I also remember the music video for it had pixelated art, if that helps. I know it's not much to go on, but if you guys can help I'd appreciate it.

EDIT: Never mind. Found it. I was thinking of "Don't Stop the Beat" by Junior Senior.
