Head Alien pulling a Chrono Cross is now confirmed in Shortpacked.
Damn I hate this plot.
Edit: Dafuq? "What Were We Fighting For?" has been robbed of its meaning and redirected to "Was It Really Worth It?"? Its meaning was closer to Sequel Reset!

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."He's just earlier in his timeline, Jason's bricking him hasn't been erased.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I'm pretty sure he wants them to think he's immortal, doesn't mean that he is.
I remember reading the "previews" in the IW site, in which an alternate Head Alien noticed he was dead in this reality.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Yes this is that Alternate Head Alien. Head Alien II. And he too did die in the main reality apparently except this is before that happened in his timeline. So I guess we know they do pull the drama tag and escape. Because HA II already did/will do it.
Unless a dimensional travelers timeline continues to branch meaning that their are many Head Alien I Is.
Interesting strategy.
Someone in the comments noticed that she's using an oversimplified version of Head Alien's usual tactics, which is a fascinating way of looking at it. Sure, she's trying to help them rather than break them, but look at poor Amber. The strain of keeping her angst bottled up is breaking her. And she's gonna explode when the Tag comes out. Is it worth the ultimately positive known result? Do the ends justify the means here?
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Right now, she's a basically dying on the inside.
Sometimes you need a good cathartic explosion.
Wait, who was Pamela before? I find no entry on her in walky-related wiki(s)...

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I really love the color effect in that last panel.
It's really amazing how much Willis has improved as an artist over the years.
Just catch up with this comic.
Can't say I am enjoying this storyline too much. It have its moments, but the continuity kinda become too thick rather suddenly. Yeah, the crossovers with the rest of the Walkyverse have become more frequently, and that is not a bad thing. But, so far, knowledge in the previous comics was not necessary and was mostly a bonus. This story, meanwhile, is pretty much a continuation of the one comic not available on the Internet.
The latest page is the apex of that problem. Yeah, I've read of Rachel, but not really enough for me to care. More importantly, I've never seem Rachel before*, I had no idea of how she looked like. All the impact of this page is completely lost to me.
Oh, well, I will not bitch further than that. It is kinda annoying, but I understand it is a story that needed to be done. Old Walkyverse fans deserve a conclusion for Rachel and Joe and since Walky And Joyce is stuck in time, Shortpacked is where David can make it to happen. I just hope this sort of thing don't happen too frequently. It would be better to create a new comic if so.
According to Willis here "Nobody knows what happened to the main universe Rachel. She was MIA. Well, until now." this is indeed Shortpacked Prime Rachel. Well that makes everything nice and tidy doesnt it"
So you've never read It's Walky? Rachel showed up in that near the end.
Also, Rachel has cameoed in Dumbing of Age.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. No, I haven't. Shortpacked have always been quite self-contained, so I never felt the need to. I plan to read it, eventually, when Bring Back Roomies reach that.
I figured as much. As I said, I can understand why this story needed to be done. I don't even read Joyce And Walky and even I could notice this Rachel thing went unconcluded. I know how unfinished story threads sucks, so I don't blame Willis for wanting to finish it. Since Shortpacked is currently the only Walkyverse comic in production currently, it was kinda unavoidable.
It is just that, for me, as a Shortpacked only reader, I don't find this story terribly interesting or compelling. I understand why it is happening, but I don't have to like it.
As for the cameo, it is not like I would have noticed it without knowing her in the first place.
PS:Why is Joyce And Walky a custom title and, yet, a Red Link at the same time? It is weird.

Roomies!, It's Walky!, Joyce and Walky! is the page you're looking for.
It's not so much "I need to wrap up this plot thread" as it is "Stuffed in the Fridge is something you should never do and this is me fixing that."

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I know this page exist. But I would think the individual names would be redirects.
Also, the reason I found weird is that Joyce And Walky is still a custom title regardless of being a redirect or not. The exclamation mark still appear without I having to type it myself.
Webcomic/JoyceAndWalky is a redirect...but not a custom title. Huh.
I'd recommend using the original archives anyway. Sure, there's some bonus stuff missing, but it's not nearly as much of a mess as Willis describes it, and what is a mess doesn't take long to put into context.

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Eh, I am not in a rush or anything. The author is re-uploading in the way he finds best, so why not use that? Sure, it will take years to finish, but I trust Dumbing Of Age and Shortpacked to keep my interest high until then.

Two reasons 1) It will take forever to get to the relevant parts 2) Doing it like that means you have to slog through Roomies which is the weakest of Willis's series (to be honest I wish he had a tag or something to just collect the comics that serve as the set-up for It's Walky).
Again, I am not in a rush. And I don't plan actually start reading until it is at last reached Its Walky, so I won't slog trough Roomies anyway.
Oh man, I loved the Canada arc.
HA: Don't you still harbor perverse sexual lust for Joyce Brown?
Joe: She's a dude, now.
HA: Rats. This is what I get for playing favorites.
