... Heh. I have to wonder if that Joyce one is canon.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987He's said that they're all canon but might not have happened yet. Or something like that. http://itswalky.tumblr.com/post/25978876476/does-everything-must-be-canon-apply-to-these-pinups
Well, that relationship seems to be coming to a crashing end.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)ENTIRELY on Walky's side here. If him wearing comfy pants is a dealbreaker for her relationship-wise, she's a controlling bitch and he's better off cutting her loose.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Well, there is a legitimate "I'm embarrassed to be seen with you" threshold.
If he were walking around campus in briefs, I think people would be a lot more sympathetic to her point. But in college, you can totally get away with pajama pants. I had classmates who came to class in pajama bottoms which weren't even made to look like real pants.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.Except in my understanding, it's a shopping mall rather than campus.
Also, "I'm still in pyjamas" also implies to people "I haven't showered".
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."He's not still in his pajamas, he's wearing pajama jeans. Big diff.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Oh yeah, I didn't get that when he said "last night" he meant "last evening", not that he slept wearing them.
So, they're more like sweatpants than actual sleepwear?
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Basically. All the comfiness of the PJ's but at a distance they look like Jeans.
.......what in the unholy fuck is wrong with this woman?
Seriously, to anyone who knows the Walkyverse: Is Sara this big an antisocial twat in any other comics?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Don't you remember just last week? She's one of Sarah's soured friends.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987And that gives Sara the right to a) DEMAND Joyce leave RIGHT NOW without paying for the clothes she's trying on and b) belt Raidah in the face when she DARES suggest Joyce make her own decisions on whether she wants to stay or not?
I don't care what the drug dealer that Sara dimed out did or didn't do, Sara needs to be kicked in the cunt. Repeatedly.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117It seems, per the virus alerts thread, that the archive calender on the Dumbing of Age site seems to have some XSS scripts embedded in the links there.
Be careful when navigating the site, and try not to use the archive calender.
Also, poor Joyce.

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)...ok, tread lightly here, David, I already hate Sara.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117.....maybe Willis wants us to hate Sara. Maybe that's the plan.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117To be fair, she came to college to get through with as high a grade as possible. Having scholarship limits doesn't help, because of pressure of having to take out student loans in order to pay for classes.
Basically, she has academic worries that are being impacted by somebody else's personal worries, and she's unable to reconcile that due to her focus.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987....which doesn't excuse her being an insensitive twat right now.
Now, if Dana pulls a knife on her or something next comic, OK, it's excusable, but right now, I am ENTIRELY on Dana's side.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117There's a good chance Sara isn't able to afford college at all without her scholarship. She's a high achiever who wants to go far in life, and quite likely made it where she is with very little support.
Dana probably comes from a much higher income family than Sara does. She's used to the idea that she can be successful without working hard, just by knowing people, because her social network is full of people who already have a leg up. Sara's more likely to have grown up around people who were going nowhere unless they worked really hard, and she wanted to be someone who went somewhere.
Sara might be behaving in a way that seems unsympathetic, but consider just how much reason she has to feel resentful of Dana.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back. She could just take whatever she needs (books, etc.) and study elsewhere (like, in the friends' room if she asked nicely).
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."She's antisocial, though. That kind of thing probably wouldn't even occur to her; I know it never did to me.
Dana could also be smoking pot elsewhere.
There aren't always a lot of quiet, private places you can spend significant amounts of time in at college. Some people have a very hard time getting work done without proper solitude. Dana's just been through an extremely harsh experience, but that isn't a carte blanche to impose arbitrary levels of inconvenience on others, and I don't think Sara deserves so much blame for prioritizing her studying over Dana's getting high in their living space.
It's a very hard situation to deal with, because confronting Dana or her friends is likely to simply get Sara shot down as insensitive, but she's got a very legitimate grievance, and if she loses her scholarship it's going to cause her much greater long term problems than Dana being deprived of a place to use weed while she's grieving.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back......she did what she had to do.
I am now less pissed at Sara than I was.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117She really DID do the right thing. I thought she called the school admins and they threw her out.
Having said all that: This is a college. I'm sure there are a few other people around that didn't know Dana or any of her buddies.
Sara: Make some other goddamn friends.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117
Apparently we can blame it on Candi, as Starline Hodge was doing the same thing, so Willis copied her example.
