General Tokusatsu Thread

In light of the Kamen Rider thread, can we just merge it here with this thread, which covers not only Super Sentai (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger in particular), Kamen Rider (what with Kamen Rider Fourze), and such, but other Toku like GARO, Metal Heroes and such. Their threads tend not to have much posts anyway, so maybe we can simply have a single thread for them?

Anyway, let me start with Metal Heroes. Space Sheriff Gavan, Space Sheriff Sharivan and Space Sheriff Shaider are getting subbed!

And I never saw a previous sentai before, so I dont even have that nostalgia factor.

But DAMN I love it.

Does anyone know where to find subs of Kaiketsu Zubat? That show is absolutely spectacular, but I can't find half decent subs anywhere, and that gives me the sadfaces.

Isn't Hikari Senshi doing Zubat?

I've recently started watching Garo. Looks pretty cool.

Something I'm wondering: when Kouga puts on the armor, how is his big coat supposed to fit inside? I mean, in this show he actually puts on armor, magically, but still, he doesn't actually transform, right, so what happens to his coat?

The real reason he can only stay in his armor for a short time is because the coat gets all bunched up inside, and it can be very uncomfortable.

Plus it's a nice coat. You don't get those cheap.

Well well well. It seems that Gokaiger is going to have a Metal Heroes crossover, of all things. Was not expecting that.

That's cool. Decade should've gotten one itself, really. That Gokaiger thing, plus the appearance of several old Toei heroes in the Let's Go Kamen Riders movie earlier this year makes me hope that they'll use Skull Man and SUPAIDAMAN again one day. Please do, Toei.

Yeah, it looks like there's gonna be a riders vs Sentai movie. And naturally, Decade is in it, along with the gokaigers, and Fourze, and those are just a few of them.

Look at the date for that post up there. It was from a long time ago. Before Super Hero Taisen was planned out.

My apologies. It looks like it'll be an awesome movie though.

I know this thread has been dead for a while, so here is some crazy news: Hikonin Sentai Akiaranger! And it's being geared towards adults, at least that's what the marketing campaign is saying.

Some people are saying it's a harem series. I'm not sure what to think other than that Akibared reminds me of the Mighty Moshin Emo Rangers.
