I kinda hope Stockman is the final boss. Would be nice to have him as a main villain for once and would bring things full circle from whem he was the main bad guy of mirage.

It would fit. He is also shared role of initial enemy to Turtles and Splinter with Hob and is only member of their rogue galery who isn’t defeated or on the path to redemption (unless press tour with Sally and Seri led to series of shananigans and now he is grumpy jerk with heart of gold).

On other hand Armaggon is front and center now and I can’t see how they can wrap up his story and leave enought time for Stockman which wouldn’t feel like huge anticlimax.

The core IDW TMNT book will be relaunched, reportedly Jason Aaron is writing

So the comic isn't ending (and being reduced to specials and minis) but simply relaunching from no 1 again? Well, they should have just said so from the start, previous announcement was needlessly dramatic.

Wait, so no reboot starting from scratch?

And Jason Aaron? I mean I heard his God Butcher story with Thor was hardcore, but his Avengers run was eh, so...not sure how to feel about this.

Im not 100% sure if it's just more ongoing comic with new numbering but no, they're not abandoning the continuity.

"While Sophie Campbell's legendary run may be coming to a close, CBR can exclusively reveal that the entire series is concluding as well and several TMNT comics are to follow, with more to be revealed later this month. Speaking about the end of her work on the series, Campbell said, "The fact that this chapter is ending, and I'm leaving the series is bittersweet. I'll miss it for sure, but it's time to move on and let somebody else have a shot at the Turtles, and I'll be back for more before you know it, whatever form that might take." CBR can also confirm that the new comics will not be reboots. The existing universe of the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles run is moving forward and evolving with IDW, which recently renewed its TMNT comic book license."

On the one hand thats great.

On the hand. Outside of his OG wolverine run and the gorr the god butcher arc. Aaron is not a very good writer so....

So yeah, soft reboot now that everyone's splitting up some. Considering that the last issue ended on a kind of cliffhanger with whatever Donny is doing, I'm glad. I imagine all the side stories will focus on what everyone does. Alopex and the Fang Clan doing something, Leo traveling and the like.

It seems they're getting the ball rolling on tying more of the old show to the 23K timeline again in this week's Saturday Morning Adventures.

I stumbled on a spoiler review for Andrew Modeen's new 'Shredder' graphic novel

Bit of a Happy Ending Override for the Odyssey novel, but it's kind of 'on form' for Andrew to go super bleak with his stories and stay faithful to the less hopeful futures of the original Turtles depicted in his stories and some of the later Mirage universe. April dies, Casey dies, Shadow kind of betrays everyone etc, and there's a cliffhanger with the Foot Mystics controlling a dying Shredder, indicating they'll be the next threat in whatever story takes place next

so idw ended at 150 before it relaunches under jason aaron. really weak ending honestly. way too focused on donnie trying to stop evil time shark but he cant because time loops and he and venus were the cause of the turtles and splinter being the reincarnations of the hamatos, and donnie is still gonna turn into a crazy bitter old man and the group will fall apart

So, IDW still has the rights to Ninja Turtles? I know that IDW had lost some properties, but I can't remember if it was Transformers or G.I. Joe that got let go from IDW.

[up] Yes, IDW still has the TMNT.

And it was both Transformers and G.I. Joe that got let go. And apparently they're doing wonders over at Skybound.

Apparently the TMNT/Masters of the Universe comics crossover is finally going to happen...but it'll be handled by Dark Horse

Huh.

For those who don't know, Motu x Tmnt already started a crossover last year - a toy line, to be exact. Turtles on the first cover wear the same costume they wear in the Turtles of Grayskull toy line.

Said line comes with minicomics, even illustrated by Freddie Williams II. It will be interesting to see how similar and how different the stories will be.
