And there we go. What do you guys think?
One Strip! One Strip!I thought it was a rather interesting fight to set up. However, as I've never really followed either of the respective ladies' franchises, I was never really going to be too burned up by the end result. Certainly not as bad as Chun-Li. (*rimshot*)
Seriously, though, I've been following this show since Akuma vs. Shang Tsung and it's been a blast. I actually just posted a suggestion on their page for a pair of fights for the Assassin's Creed franchise. Don't know how quickly that will get buried, but I'd love to see them try their hand at them.
"I am a virus. Are you the cure? I am morally... I'm morally impure."The Akuma vs Sheng Tsung fight was awesome.
Don't think that Chun-Li should have lost to the stripper girl, but as soon as they mentioned Mai's control of fire I had a feeling that was going to be a major factor in the fight.
This thread brought the show to my attention, and I've now watched most of the episodes. It's a fun blast, even though in a couple of cases I've disagreed with some results and such, but where's the fun and drama if they don't surprise you every now and then?
| Wandering, but not lost. | If people bring so much courage to this world...◊ |Of course, the one most people can't seem to agree one is the Mario vs. Sonic one.
I think it became Infamous on the internet for it, too.
Watch SymphogearI giggled like a ninny. A Hub battle. It's glorious.
Granted, it may just be a bit uneven, but still glorious.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987The actual fight needs the New World Symphony to it, to make it even more awesome.
Watch SymphogearEven the guys making the video think that this is insane.
I may actually have to watch Friendship Is Magic just to see what all the hubub is.
What's crazy is, it's actually up in the air as to whether Starscream will win this or not.
One Strip! One Strip!Eh, the pony is guaranteed a win for humor's sake. Kinda like the Yoshi Riptor fight.
I'm hoping for a draw like the Justin Bieber vs Rebecca Black battle.
If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?Well that only happened so that a lot of teen idols can be killed.
Now as much as I love Magic is Friendship, I think Rainbow Dash is very unlikely to win.

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.Wow, that was one hell of a Death Battle!
I forgot how much of a Bad Ass Rainbow Dash is. She utterly owned Starscream!
Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree. It was a thing.
Annnnnnnnnnnd I was right. I knew Starscream was screwed when they summed him up as an idiot who gets killed a lot. Shame too, they're normally pretty even-handed and realistic and logical about these match-ups. As realistic and logical as one can get about fictional characters fighting to the death that is.
Edit: On second thought, I feel I should probably add that it's not the result that disappointed me (I barely remember Transformers and haven't seen MLP), it was the content of the video itself. This series did a good job of balancing Serious Business with humor. This time the threw out the former and kept the latter. And the laffs, they were predictable and cheap. C'mon guys, you've done better than this.

So the next one is Master Chief battle. I'm really hoping the opponent is Gordon Freeman.
Is there a bigger version of the picture shown at 0.24 out there? That's one great artwork.

If a chicken crosses the road and nobody else is around to see it, does the road move beneath the chicken instead?@Mild Guy
As counter-intuitive as it may seem, that was actually the realistic outcome of that fight. Rainbow Dash is probably the single most quick and agile character out there that doesn't have blatant superpowers, and even then she is still near the top of the list of quickest/most agile characters of all time. She is also an in-universe lightning bruiser, being tough enough to take huge impacts with nary a scratch and also having the strength to catch a giant statue (weighing multiple tons) made of rock on her back without breaking a sweat.
All that meaning that Starscream never had much of a chance to hit her with his various armaments and wasn't going to hurt her just by smacking her around a little bit. As for making an offensive, Rainbow Dash showed that she had plenty of tricks up her sleeve to bring the pain.
And I think the episode maintained a proper balance between humor and seriousness given the fact that one of the characters happens to be a character in a show called My Litte Pony that also happens to be a total badass.
Spoken like a fan. You don't even see how the curb stomp battle actually cheapened the character you like so much. Now if you'd given her a serious opponent, someone who was match for her, then she would've been badass for winning. Oh well.
I'm not a Halo fan, and I'd laugh if the next fight had, oh I don't know, say a Care Bear spam rainbows into his face until he died of it. But it wouldn't be a real battle. It'd be a joke video. "Watch the harmless sugar bowl character pwn the M-rated serious guy LOL NEVER SEEN THAT JOKE ON THE INTERNET BEFORE LAFF GODDAMN YOU!! Fine if you like that stuff, but I came to enjoy this series for its logical and fair appraisal of the gladiator's skills and weaknesses, and clever battles where said qualities came into play.
I kind of with you on that. I got a laugh out of it, but in a world where any incarnation My Little Pony fights any incarnation of Transformers and the former wins, well, the 5 year old kid in me that loves Transformers feels like it just took a punch to the gut.
Seeing screamer pull out the begging routine on a pony was both hilarious and painful. I liked the video for it's content, but god help you if you're a long time TF fan, because we may never hear the end of it.
One Strip! One Strip!I just recently started watching this series, and I have say, it's pretty damn cool. Both the announcers seem to know what their talking about, most of the remarks they make are pretty funny, and the battles range from funny,to epic, to both at the same time. I think my favorite so far is justin bebier vs rebbecca black.
I do want to point something out about the rainbow dash vs starscream video. Some of you are a little upset about the outcome, And I am not going to hate on anybody here since you are entitled to your own opinoin and I do kinda understand what your getting at, but it actually makes since that dash would win. First off, the pony in this video is the awesome G.4.rainbow dash, not the ultra stupid girly G.3.rainbow dash. Second off, the starscream in this video is the corwardly, moronic traitor from the G.1. transformers, not the cool {but still a cowordly backstabber, since it's part of his character} starscream from the movies. So it would actually make since that dash would win, since this starscream is a dumbass who can't fight worth shit half the time, and has to use cowardly tactics to even have something of a chance. Don't get me wrong, I like the starscream from the original transformers because of his stupidity and his desprete attemps at taking over the decipticons, as well as the fact that he can be a threat at times, but let's face it, if he got put up against someone effective and succesful like rainbow dash, he would get his ass kicked.
I so hope I don't get hated for this post lol.
I would love to see some of the Fan Dumb wankage the Death Battle guys receive in their inboxes for these battles. Most fights pit two long-standing and hardcore fanbases against each other.
Sorry if I came across as a mlp fim fanboy. I do love the show, but I was just pointing out what I have seen of both G.4. Rainbow dash and G.1. Starscream.I didn't want anyone to think that I was being a moronic, blind fanboy when I was typing my views on the rainbow dash vs starscream video, but apparently I should have worded my post more carefully. Hope I didn't offend anyone.
You didn't offend me, and I doubt you offended anyone else. Besides, there's plenty of MLP fans around this site and I bet most of them would like this video too. I'm just being a cranky nerd.
Oh okay. Go ahead.
