Apologies for the double-post but for those who missed it Aoishiro and Akai Ito are both out now on the Steam and Nintendo E-shops. Physical copies for Nintendo appear to be a Japan-only limited edition combo-pack with what appears to be 4-disc copies of the soundtracks for each game as well as both games.
Given the cost I'm going with the digital version

Aoi Shiro and Akai Ito are getting HD re-masters for PC and Switch

According to the article there will be official English language versions of both. Which is exciting news and I've never actually played Akai Ito.
