It's a fine game. It just ain't my style.

Very long, and very talky. I lose interest in that sort of thing.

The UFO Tactical turn games are kind of a love hate thing for me to depending on which game. They are very complicated but can be fun. I wish games liked Jagged Union/Alliance/etc would get their act together. The game with the closest to reality tactical turn base reality was Silent Storm and Silent Storm Sentinels. Death to Spies is a very similar Genre.

Warzone 2100 was interesting.

I liked a off beat game called Hard Truck Apacolypse I have thing for open world vehicle combat games with a bit of a build your own flare to it.

Mount And Blade, anyone?

This game certainly needs much more love.

Charlie...I'll give you a 24 hour session of loving with me and any girl of your choosing if you do it.

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

Another Minecrafter reporting in. I really hope this game does launch a genre; the blend of action and creativity appeals to me. (Though vanilla Minecraft tends to be a bit grindier than I prefer. tongue)

After four years of resisting I picked up a DS and Pokemon White. Also got a Professor Layton game. If they had a used Phoenix Wright game I would've gotten that - I might still pick up Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney for $20. The last game I want is 999.

Started playing a new Pokemon game for the first time since Ruby (unless you count Fire Red) instead of studying for tomorrow's (today's?) 8:30am exam. It is now 1am.

I saw a kid playing the new Pokemon games the other day. There were some kids huddled around that kid, giving him advice and saying how cool the Pokemon looked. It fills me with joy to see kids having fun like that. ... I FEEL SO OLD!sad

Mount and blade is indeed very cool. I have played it since before it was commercial and still an indie game. I was a bit upset that they released warband in the way they did.

I'm an on-again, off-again World Of Warcraft player. Right now in a bit of an 'off'. Will be back to it again soon.

I love the Gran Turismo games; the only problem is how tensed up they make me! I really feel like I've really driven a race; can't play that before bed and not have car-racing tense dreams all night.

@Morven: The upcoming Need For Speed: Shift 2: Unleashed will probably be even worse, since the developer claims to be making it as realistic as they can make it.

Just started playing Genetos again. Unlocked the Blade option, Cross bomb, and Counter sub-attack. Yay!

@Morven: From the sound of it, they're going for Bigger And Better with Shift 2. On the other hand, they make it sound scary, as if it's possible to die in this game.

Hell, the teaser video for it in Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit kinda made it look like they were trying to inject the Darker and Edgier trope into it, what with the freeze-frame crash.

I feel like the Gran Turismo games have been going downhill since GT 2, that is not to say that they are bad but things like removing the normal gauges form split screen multiplayer and not having car improvements have an effect on it makes it somewhat annoying to play. The problem is of course that GT 2 didn't have the same level of simulation that the newer ones have.

Well, I don't play split-screen multiplayer, so that doesn't bother me. I'm not sure what you mean by "not having car improvements have an effect on it." What's "it", there? Car improvements certainly do alter the performance and drivability.

You said you don't play split-screen multiplayer so you probably won't notices but when playing local MP even if you choose one of your owned cars it uses it's default preformance. And to me adjusting a car to my liking is half the fun. I may place too much weight on this but that's because I mostly place them either SP or locally with my brother. It doesn't break the game but it causes some annoyance.

Ahh, now I get you. Yes, since I don't ever use that mode I don't notice its shortcomings grin. And yes, customizing your car's setup is important and interesting.
